The shame is it could be a very good Credit Union, unfortunately they choose the worst automated phone system in the world obsoletely stinks! Also, I have a business account with them and wanted to open a personal account, so I went to the branch and they told me they can't open my account that I had to call into there call center from one of there offices. They called for me and connected me with someone that sounded like she was in a room with a thousand other people all talking in the back ground. I explained I couldn't understand what she was saying over the noise basically I was told this is the only way I could open an account, I said thanks but NO Thank you! Really bad customer service!

As of 2022, SCCU had over 560,000 members and $7.7 billion in assets, making it the third largest credit union in Florida. They absolutely need to address the amount of employees they have on any given day. I know corporate will try to tell the employees to be more efficient, but no! Corporate needs to properly staff their banks.I’m an extremely patient person but it does get frustrating when I sit in the drive-through with a quick deposit and other cars that pull up after me come and go but I’m still sitting there being told twice “Will be with you in just a moment.”. Very difficult to remain patient when it takes 10-12 minutes to make a deposit. They always seem to be short staffed. Do better SCCU and stop squeezing as much as to can from the three employees that are working at one branch.

I did a car loan the SCCU, paid it off and they never released the title, placing a lien on the car without notifying me. This caused a lot of additional time and expense when I went to sell the car. Thumbs down from this guy, won’t be using them again.

Great bank but terrible customer service. I took out some money for rent the other day and told the lady how much I needed and what I wanted. Then somebody came over the speaker and said hi how can I help you and I said oh somebody is already helping me. Was too far to see her name but she had medium length blonde hair and rolled her eyes at me and so rude.just because you are behind glass doesn’t mean I can’t see you. Next time I go there I am definitely saying something!

they answer with an endless recording about how wonderful the credit union is but if you are out of state or the country.... and unlike other banks and credit unions, there is no way to get past the endless message recording since most phones dont allow keypad entry ( like this bank) after the called number answers....we are in the space age , right??????

Went to this branch today at approximately 1:45 pm. We were there to pay off a car loan. We sat in front of one of the offices on the right when entering as the woman wearing a red and black top and black slacks was finishing up with another customer. In the meantime, customers are coming in and my husband is waving them ahead of us as we're waiting to see the woman. She finishes up with the gentleman and promptly goes to the drive-up window and proceeds to help other customers! We could see cars pulling up to the drive through as we're inside waiting. She walked right past us, didn't ask why we were there, nothing. There were two male employees there as well helping customers, certainly they saw us and must've wondered why we were just sitting there and letting others go ahead of us. Terrible customer service, glad we won't need to deal with them. NO EXCUSE.

I don't recommend this bank for starters.I went to open a free checking account and they infomer me that a need open also a savings for 5 dollars minimum deposit what is fine, (they don't have that information on the web site) . Them they infome me that I don't have have enough credit score to open a free checking account. MINIMUM 600 CREDIT SCORE REQUIRED. Other information not listed on the web site. Desapoited for a credit union Bank. They didn't offered me a solution nothing...

We moved to the area a little over 3 years ago and, we kept our old bank because of the headache involved in switching banks/updating accounts with payment information. I debated on opening an account here based on negative reviews I have seen but, I have to say so far, so good. Everyone has been so polite from the first phone call we received after initially applying for an account online (Checking/Savings.) I have not had any issues so far and will be sure to update if I do!

We were on our way over to SunTrust bank to cash in some Savings Bonds and deposit the money. We were told only 5 could be handled at a visit. We were to turn 5 of them in at the Drive-thru and pick up the receipt in 3 hours. Instead we went across the street to our friendly SCCU and Michelle cheerfully handled all the bonds we had both brought in a very speedy, competent and professional manner. I don't know why we thought to go anywhere else! What a pleasure it always is banking at this credit union in Cocoa Beach. Everyone is always cheerful and helpful at this location and probably at all their locations. You can’t go wrong joining this credit union. They competently handle all your banking needs. Thanks, Michelle, for making this transaction so effortless and pleasant.
