A Tale of Two Auto Repair Shops…It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. This morning our seven-year-old granddaughter accidentally jammed the seat belt in the rear door of our daughter’s Kia Sorento and the door would not open. With only a single source of transport for three young children, aged 3, 7, and 10, and the dealership in Melbourne, our daughter, Tricia, called “Harvey’s Auto Repair” in Port St. John. “April” took Tricia’s call, was most sympathetic and caring, and told her to come in when convenient. Three mechanics, “Zach,” “Thomas,” and even the owner, “Ernie,” resolved the issue within ten minutes, even though Tricia was not a customer, just a mother in distress, and did not charge her. A year ago, we had a relatively new Chevvy Malibu that suddenly, without warning, have a trunk release latch fail. We returned to the dealership where we bought the Malibu new and had always serviced it. There is no way to open the trunk if the latch is inoperable and we needed to take relatives and their luggage to the airport that evening. The dealership told us they were “swamped” but for an additional labor fee they could fit us in. The latch replacement took ten minutes and the labor fee was $235!! There’s no surprise that “Harvey’s Auto Repair” has nothing but 5-star ratings. We are very, very grateful to have such caring professionals so close.

Same day emergency fix on my brakes. You guys did such an excellent job the handling on the car feels like I just drove it off the dealership lot. You guys really are the best!

Check engine light came on while we were over from Tampa to watch a rocket launch. The local auto store suggested going up to see Ernie at Harry’s. I am so glad that they did. My son, my dog and myself rolled in. He was able to take a quick look and diagnose the issue and was Even able to fix the issue within an hour of us arriving. They were incredibly busy as it was, and I know that he stopped what he was doing to help me with my issues so that I can make it back safely today. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area. The staff was super sweet to us, including the kindest woman upfront who allowed us to come sit in the air-conditioning while they were diagnosing and working on the car.

I have used Harvey's Auto Repair 2x in the last couple of months, hands down one of the best around! The follow up from the office to shop lets you know that they care about your car and you, they are not looking for one time customers, they are looking for long term partnerships. They have earned a customer for life.....

A rare find these days, Harvey’s is the best auto shop around. They have great customer service, are very honest, and do quality work. Ernie and his crew have my loyalty and I will definitely recommend them every chance I get!!

I love this auto shop. I had gotten two estimates before coming to Harvey's Auto Repair. The quotes were lower here, and the work was fast. The front desk receptionist was friendly. I would recommend this shop. They are not trying to cheat you. Honest work for an honest price..

This shop is phenomenal they have taken great care of my car, this car means everything to me and they take wonderful care of it. I want to keep it in great shape as long as possible. Excellent value and awesome customer service. It’s great to finally find an honest mechanic. Will have all my cars serviced here. Their quote for ac repair saved me a small fortune and when i got the final bill it came out even less than the quote!!! Thank goodness I found this shop. These guys are amazing!

I quit taking my 2019 RAM Promaster to the dealer and now only let Ernie @ Harvey's work on it. They are excellent technicians, honest and very reasonable in their pricing. For example, they saved me $1000 on 1 job vs what the dealer quoted me. And I know they will go the extra mile to do the job right. I highly recommend Harvey's for your automotive repairs ‼️

I’ve done business here for both vehicles and am pleased with the service. Convenience of drop off and pick up is great and communicative of diagnostics and services required or recommended with itemized notification and ability to approve work. From oil changes, to faulty sensor replacements, and thermostat replacements, I’m thankful for the work and ease Harvey’s provides. He was also able to come our aid with a snafu in the blink of an eye and I can’t thank him enough. Will definitely continue to do business here and you should too!
