My aging mother lost her homeowner's insurance due to my mother's confusion over how to pay. This meant she didn't pay. She thought when she signed up for Allstate auto withdrawal for her car insurance it was also for her homeowner's insurnance. She was actually really proud of herself because she thought it was taken care of. Note my mother had been paying by check at the same location (First Joe Butcher then Sandy Butcher but not Jennifer Dicandio), in person, for 40 years.
Then I called while my mother was in the hospital at beginning of March for help cancelling her Allstate car policy (she gave away her car as the doctor's say she can never drive again) and was told I couldn't speak to the person there on my mother's behalf, even if my mother gave me permission. I could, however, use the online portal to get information. That didn't work for us at the time considering how sick my mother was and how many committments I had in regards to my mother's continuing health care.
She's probably great for young people who are used to modern technology. She was not helpful for my aging mother who is not.

I've been trying to make a small change to our insurance policy for weeks. The customer service for this agency is atrocious. They never answer the phone and never answer emails. I made a phone appointment and was never called. When someone actually answered the phone, I was told they don't use the online appointment system offered on the website. If Jennifer leaves a response here saying they called and left messages, that is untruthful. She told me yesterday on the phone that they don't respond to emails. Really? When they actually answered the phone I was told excuses as to why I had not been contacted. No apologies made. Jennifer be truthful if you respond. Constantly getting soliciting calls from the agent to add an auto policy. This agency can't take care of their current policyholders and make "we're so busy" excuses but not too busy to make constant soliciting calls. Do better

Inaccurate negligent policy amounts on 2 real estate propertys caused losses of $488,888 unrecovered losses 2004 huricanes charlie;Frances, Jeanne, "agent errors" confirmed june 2005 mediation by 3 allstate adjusters and attorney for insurance commissioner who prior reviewed damages,policies, photos pre/after,& confirmed professional negligence of Jennifer&2 staff "agents". Claim filed 9/4/2004 direct w/allstate,then 5 x with jennifer office in person....no adjuster til jan 27-29,2005 who confirmed gross negligence causing underunsured losses $488,888 reconfirmed underinsured amt by insurance commissioners attorney who demanded allstate write checks immediately june 2005 at mediation.Got via allstate orlando attorney who refused to provide itemization refused to seperate contents and damages $on 2 properties refused to correct name on check $46,000 in dec 2008!!Jennifer office 2 staff and jennifer ignored multiple billings by power of attorney financial manager/accountant. 2006 attorney hired to collect/2009 attorney hired to collect demanding itemized accounting rhat was verified allstate had at mediation. $7800&$8000 fees to data&$1500 docs to office of attorney genetal 2010 confirmed by robert julian investigator: overbilling wrongful billing increased policy&dropped policy violated insurance commissioner demand to nevervraise or drop due to excessive losses by agents errors. Homowner injured 9-4-2004 immobilized lived in 2ft water tornado 3 holes in roof black mold last claim filed dec 2004 saw adjuster jan 27&28 with allstate roofer with him(camera video) committed to write immediate check$15,000 move out$15,000 rental$10,000 mold$18,000 electrical$35,000 roof, gutters, insulation , $70,000 immediate then more after review of receipts, photos....Zero checks. Small check May, paid out of pocket for electrical never reimbursed.Suspected and alleged: federal criminal complaints 4 persons against fpl, allstate, castle key 3 pwtsons. Wirnesses: 3 allstate adjusters 4 fpl.Contact Morgan law./ oag.fl.&dept of insurance regulation for #of cases against allstate, castle key, agent cathy mayler orlando causing alleged hundreds of i.d. theft of bank, credit cards, phone, dr.luc.ssa# 'sFEMA. Ask # of unpaid allstate claims.45 yrs a client with no claims on homes til 2004....then dropped .
