In my personal opinion every time I come to CVS they greet me with open arms. From the front of the store to the pharmacy department. I want to THANK April, Richard and Pauline for always being so welcoming and responsive with all my prescriptions. They know how important their customers are that they help in any way they can. My prescriptions are always up to date and on time. Thank you again!

Very resourceful pharmacy staff, caring, and empathetic. April and Victor were amazing when dealing with emergency prescriptions and solving insurance and Specialty-related matters. You’d be in really good hands making this CVS your pharmacy. I’ve been coming here for the past 5+ years.

The pharmacy is visibly understaffed, so they implemented a call system where you leave a voicemail and they call you back. When I received a call back however, the woman was very rude. She spoke to me like I was a child when I attempted to ask about an insurance problem. When I asked her to stop speaking to me that way, she hung up on me.

Extremely disappointing and unhygienic.
You expect a pharmacy to be clean, but this place is the opposite. It smells terrible, surfaces are dirty, and the carpets are old and stained—one even looked like it had vomit on it. The condition of the store has gone downhill over the past year, and it’s only getting worse. Don’t even think about using the bathroom—it’s absolutely unacceptable.
The need to close this place and renovate it completely and keep it clean l.

Extremely poor customer service at the CVS on Grand Ave in Coconut Grove. On April 29th, my dentist called in a prescription early in the morning for a procedure I was scheduled for the next day. The medication (antibiotics and ibuprofen) was needed before the procedure, so I went to the pharmacy drive-thru around 7:45 PM to pick it up.
The clerk couldn’t find anything under my name or phone number, even though the order was called in at 8:00 AM. I asked him to please check again, and he went to speak with the pharmacist. He returned and told me that the pharmacist hadn’t even checked the voicemail all day and had just now found the prescription — but they were closing in 7 minutes and I’d have to come back tomorrow.
I asked to speak with the manager and was told that the pharmacist himself was the manager. When he came to the window, visibly irritated and breathing heavily, I calmly explained that this was unacceptable. His response? “We’ll work on it,” followed by closing the window and walking away. No apology. No effort to help in that moment.
His name is Richard Williams, and I was shocked at the complete lack of accountability and empathy — especially from someone in a leadership position handling people’s health needs. This was medication I needed that night, and the carelessness and dismissiveness were frankly scary.
CVS needs to seriously reevaluate how this pharmacy is managed. People's health shouldn't be treated like an afterthought.

Absolutely the worst CVS on the face of the earth. Understaffed with employees who are incompetent and don't give a damn. One employee even told me how much they hated working in this store.
Go to the Grove for lunch - but not for this CVS.

Hi, I am writing because the pharmacy manager Richard Williams treated me with such condescension and rudeness today that I literally spent the first part of my afternoon writing this review and calling CVS national headquarters to document the incident. I looked through a number of these Yelp reviews, and found that unsurprisingly, many other customers have had awful experiences with Richard. I hope that CVS corporate will do something.
I was at the front of the line and was trying to use a GoodRX coupon. The associate told me to wait so that Richard could process the coupon. Richard was busy giving a vaccine to anoher customer and still another customer was waiting for him as well. In a gentle voice, I asked the associate if by any chance he could process the coupon, as associates have done that for me before at this location. Richard abruptly pulled the needle out of the shoulder he was vaccinating (the customer looked perplexed at the suddenness of it) and screamed "How dare you yell at my associate? Everyone here is angry with you.
Mortified, I walked to the side, and another associate took pity on me and decided to help me. I asked her for a national number so I could report the incident with Richard. The associate, who was very kind, apologized for Richard, saying "He's just overwhelmed." This is not an excuse--I am an elementary school teacher and my job is all about keeping calm if I'm overwhelmed. Richard had let his emotions get the best of him.
Richard heard me whispering and said "What are you saying? How dare you speak behind my back?" I told him that I felt humiliated, that I had spoken calmly, and would like an apology.
He said, "What's the problem? You got your medication. Stop harassing me."
I said, "I have the medication, but I've lost my dignity. I feel awful right now." I started crying and left the store.
After this, I went home and called the national CVS hotline to document the incident. To CVS's credit, the woman I spoke with validated my concerns and spoke to me with professionalism.
Still, I am honestly considering switching CVS locations even though this one is near my home.
I should add that the associates, including April and Raul, treated me with kindness and respect.

THE worst pharmacy around. The staff is always rude. I've never had a nice or kind interaction with the pharmacy. Front of store is perfectly fine. I go only for the convenience of it being so close to my home, but an seriously considering going somewhere else. I suggested to them they may like to read they're reviews and perhaps they'd make changes. One could only hope. but it's a nightmare every time.
