I have purchased from Janie and Jack the last 5 years. Usually, I tend to order online, but of course, I have gone into the store to shop as well. I was there twice in April, and the women that work at this store never fail to give customers attitude. It's absurd, actually. I have never had a pleasant experience going into the store at merrick park and I have gone through periods where I rather not buy from JJ because they are so damn rude I honestly don't need to deal with it. Someone's needs to go into this store and do some serious training.
Just one example: I walked in looking to exchange an item I purchased and size up. The woman said first well it's online, so you can't just swap it out in store. I explained I had on other occasions, the woman rolled her eyes and just called the other lady that was walking around maybe manager. She explained to her they could replace it and have it sent to my house. They proceeded to have conversation while talking amongst themselves, I tried asking a question, and they both huffed and puffed, looking at me, upset and annoyed. Honestly, the level of disrespect is beyond. They are lucky I was with my child and did not want to make a scene and set a bad example.

I am giving this particular store a 1 star because of the poor customer service I received and observed others receiving today, Christmas Eve. The person in front of me spent over $250 in gifts and was met with apathy and bad attitude when she asked for help building the gift boxes. Once it was my turn to pay, same service. I heard one of the employees tell a customer that if she helped her build the box, “she would have to do it for everyone else”. Every Janie and Jack store that I’ve been to, packs the gift for the customers.
For the cost of the items in this store, the service should be elevated.

Customer service not the best. The sales ladies are rude and slow and if you dare to point it out they get frankly just nasty. And now that I read the reviews I see it’s not only me. They are not efficient, are not computer savvy, very slow at checking you out and on top have a very unpleasant attitude. They are the worst sales people ever!

Worse customer service and shopping assistance ever at this location. Every single time I go I leave the store disappointed. Lack of help and bad attitude from the sale women. I usually try to buy online just to avoid going to this specific store.

I went today to the Merrick Park’s Janie and Jack location to just simply exchange my daughters clothes since it came a little small on her. I was even advised by the customer service team of Janie and Jack that this store would gladly help me. I mean it’s an easy exchange— no biggy right?! Well I was definitely wrong. The supposed representative Claudia was just rude and obnoxious. Apparently she didn’t even know how to do her job since she said that exchanging clothes was “not normal” and suggested me to go to sawgrass mall (which is over an hour away from me) to do the simple exchange.Can someone please re-train this person or find someone better to do her job!

Horrible customer service especially for a place that sells baby clothes. I went with my 9 month old. They were many people working bad attitude and lack of help. I had a stroller no one helped with the door even though there was only one more customer. Definitely not going back to that store.
