I purchased a 1990 300zx online here last fall. I learned the hard way never to buy a vehicle sight unseen.I've owned a few of these cars in the past in the 5-7k range that needed alot of work so I sold them. This time I thought if I paid 20k for purchase and delivery then I'd finally have my dream car. Accordingly to the online description I thought I couldn't go wrong. BIG mistake. From the start the car was delivered with a completely cracked front bumper and it was obvious it was caused by shipping but since I didn't fill out paperwork properly I was stuck with that( I'll admit that was my novice mistake) Then the car didn't even start, was an easy battery replacement. This car has been pouring out oil in my garage, can't be driven so I've never even had the pleasure of a joy ride. I had it taken to the shop and just received a 6k bill to repair all the things wrong with it. I don't leave many reviews unless I feel the need to warn people about a horrible experience but now's the time. I already know they'll respond and say " well we offered a chance for you to hire your own independent inspector". I live in Indiana, they're in Florida so that's not that simple to find a trustworthy source. If you're spending 20k on a car you'd think there'd be some accountable on the dealer to assure they're selling a decent car. Shameful. Heavily research this place if you still choose to do business here.

Would not trust with a single $1. Buy with EXTREME CAUTION and don't believe a single word they say.I bought an Opel from this dealership at their Tampa location and was told everything was in working order and was drivable. It was NOT in working order and the driving video shared was apparently from many months prior. First of all, they got the year wrong on the paperwork, which meant all of the paperwork had to be redone. I told them I would sign the new paperwork when I arrived in a week and a half time. After badgering me everyday for days to sign the updated paperwork remotely (should have been a big red flag, but I thought I could trust these guys), I signed the updated paperwork. They were clearly badgering me to sign the updated paperwork because the car was far from drivable. There was a MAJOR leak coming from the fuel tank (gushing ounces of fuel a second) AND a carburetor fuel leak, constantly dripping fuel inches from the exhaust header. Far from drivable. On top of this, they had to cold start the engine with starting fluid directly to the carburetor (likely also related to the carburetor leak issue, but sorting through that at the moment). Now when buying a classic car, I expect to have to do some work. I'm not complaining about the following, but would have appreciated being aware of these before buying - the headlights didn't work; one brake light was out; the aftermarket alarm for the car didn't work; there were some exterior and interior blemishes that conveniently weren't captured in various picture angles (I actually think some photos were doctored looking back at the picture, but obviously hard to prove)... These alone are annoying, but all of them are expected in buying a 50+ year-old classic car. What is NOT expected is to show up to a dealership expecting to drive a car away for them to have to start a car with starting fluid and when they add fuel, have that fuel pouring out of the bottom of the gas tank. Even if those were fixed, fuel dripping onto the exhaust headers is a recipe for highway disaster.I talked with the corporate team who felt this was an appropriate way to deal with customers. No redressability or accountability!

I was very impressed with the salesman John's knowledge. He had a satisfactory answer for every question I had, and was able to carry a conversation on every make and mode of car on the showroom floor. My family showed up 15 minutes before close, and I was personally watching my watch to try and wrap up before closing time. When it was past their official closing time, I told John that it was about that time, however, he knew I still had interest in additional vehicles and went the extra mile to show me just about every car that he thought was up my alley. What a pleasant experience. A++ go here they do a great job!

Most of these consignment dealers work same way. Cars can't be test driven until a commitment to purchase is made. I'm looking for my first classic but won't make a possible $40k commitment to something I can't test. Have to find a better way.Answer to reply: so if I do put a deposit and dont like the way car drives I get my deposit back? And how much a deposit are we looking at?

Giving you one star due to the poor coordination of hiring the transport company ASAP Transport Solutions11248 Strang Line Rd Lenexa, KS 66215If you choose to purchase from this place, don't let them use ASAP Transport. They are a bunch of crooks - who fabricate stories to benefit themselves. The transport driver left lights on in the vehicle as well, so when it finally did arrive, the battery was dead, and no means to jump it.I have a dead vehicle on the side of the road.ASAP Transport - consumer to consumer DON"T USE THEM

Craig was an excellent representative for Gateway. I felt very comfortable doing business with Gateway and expect excellent results....more to follow ? Not so happy now, nothing has happened. Experience is less than I have expected.

I bought a 1989 Mustang LX from Wayne at the fort Lauderdale location. I use the courier they recommended to get my car shipped. It was damaged upon loading at the dealership. I still have not received any money or any compensation for the damage of the car. After the car arrived I noticed it had no oil pressure. I'm taking it to a mechanic and hooked it up to a gauge and the car has 5 lb of oil pressure at idle. I'm not sure how it's even legal for them to sell me a car that's already shot.
