“We had stopped at Hurricane Hanks for lunch and this was in the shopping plaza. We walked in and were greeted by someone at the desk who went on to tell us that the artists who display their wares/talent are also those who work in the shop. This keeps their prices down. nice paintings and jewelry as well”

“Define Art Gallery is a recent and welcome addition to Palm Ave. I’ve truly enjoyed repeated visits to the gallery before finally buying a beautiful and intriguing painting. Both the owner and her employees provide a friendly and relaxed experience, introducing me to the various artists, their histories and styles. I love the youthful vibe, along with more traditional styles. There is a great mix of artwork, which makes me think young people starting a collection will find accessible painting that they’ll treasure over a lifetime. At the same time, there is plenty for an octogenarian like me to love.”

“Owner Zoe Von Averkamp came to Bradenton decades ago and created one of the best folk art galleries in the country! She features her own art, along with missionary Mary Proctor, and others in her colorful, eclectic must see gallery house built in 1924. As a person and artist, she is indeed "divine" !! I love her..”

“As a local artist, I love this art center! The staff has changed from top to bottom since the beginning of the pandemic and I know that they are going through some adjustments. It has always been a great place to enter and display art and share with the local community! Exhibits are always fun and they have had consistently high level jurors. A really great opportunity for all levels.”

“The Village of the Arts was a nice afternoon drive through all the local artists. Due to COVID-19 many stores were closed but the ones that survived were still open. The amazing artists and their products were worth the drive, especially being able to personally talk with each one. We drove through the area looking for open stores that were there and came across many that were still open and very friendly. They had an enormous amount of various items at reasonable prices. It was a good feeling to support area artists. They were all friendly and more than willing to discuss their products.”
