This is my local bakery. I have been coming here for years. For the past year I have been completely and patiently waiting for their counter service to improve, sadly after many many chances to turn things around today yet again I am disappointed. Today was another of many times that I sat at the counter waiting to be greater, smiled at, acknowledged without the need of feeling guilty as if I am bothering staff. The lack of service or hospitality is so blatant that if you sit here long enough you start to see other patrons looking around and at each other in shock of how management and or owners allow this to go on. The food is great here but service is a key integral element in order to for any business to thrive. I hope they soon notice their lack of enthusiasm is driving people away. I will keep giving them second and third chances until I find another bakery to replace them. I'm the mean time here's to 20 minute wait for a "en que le podemos ayudar" stone faced translation "what can I help you with" 20 minutes too late.

Hay caramba! On Dec. 7th, 2021 my son placed a $200.00 Xmas eve dinner order for 10 to 11 people, for pick-up on Dec. 24th, 2021. Unfortunately my son was so sick he could not go pick up the food order and would not be able to make our family reunion. I then went with my wife to pick up the food. It was our First time to experience this business. Our pick-up order was for 1:00PM and I showed up at 1:13Pm with a slow moving long line outside. After waiting for about 10 min. or so the alleged owner a man in his early 40's came outside and told all of us that he had one oven that broke down and said that the those orders with a side dish of MOROS would have to return to pick UP that specific dish. Because I was standing further down the line I had to raise my voice to say "We can't hear you" and he repeated himself. I was of course very upset because I had driven 50 min to pick up this food for a 3pm party in Kendall (SW 88 st.) He apologized to everyone including myself several times. I had to raise my voice and maintain the same throughout the conversation because I did not want to walk up to him and lose my spot in line. I told him my dilemma and that he should have prepared a contingency plan for possible problems...that is what businesses are supposed to do. I told him that all he cared was about the money and not his customers. He had not planned very WELL AT ALL. Well' he told me I was insulting him. Besides having been told I should come back later for the missing order; he offered NO OTHER REMEDY or SOLUTION. I TOLD HIM THAT IF HE FELT INSULTED THAT THIS WAS ON HIM, NOT ME. My wife who was closer to him asked him if he could check if there was Chicken and Rice. He said he was going to check if there was any chicken and rice (which in fact was part of my order) and return. He did not even bother TO RETURN. Finally several minutes later we got inside only to further wait to be called :NEXT". There were people sitting SOME WAITING for 1- 1/2 hours to have their orders completed (overheard them). When my turn came up, again it was a slow service to bring the portions of my order to me and was told their was no Moros. I was told I could not substitute for white rice and black beans because they had run out and were cooking more. I overheard their own employees talking about how they had so many more orders than last year. I told the young lady that I was not leaving without some compensation and then called another employee who was short in manners and patience...and said she had to get the owner. Oh' boy same guy who made up excuses outside and that he had been here at work since 3am. Well' he came out and I told him if he could provide a substitute for the missing portion of the order and said he had none. I told him I wanted some type of compensation and he told me. He was raising his voice and getting angry at me. I was talking to him in a low tone. "You expect me to give food away for free"? He said I had raised my voice to him and insulted him in front of customers. I asked him why was he raising his voice to me here and he said that he had just about enough with me. I kept speaking to him in a low tone for we no longer were so far apart as we had been outside moments before.I in no way exhibited any sign of aggression. I continued to insist on some type of discount and he finally pulled out a wad of cash and gave me $40.00 saying that the portion of Moros was $25.00 and so he was giving me more money back. He was angry at this point and told me to get out and never return to his business and was ordering me out of his business...at the same time one of his employees or loyal customers was coming at me from around the outside corner of the counter but someone pulled his leash back and stopped him. The owner APOLOGIZED TO THE OTHER CUSTOMERS FOR THE SCENE. Anyways I kept saying I was leaving and walking away. He then called out and said Hey' wait a minute you forgot to pay the balance of the bill...so I returned and asked what was the balance owed. He told me $

This was simply unacceptable. I ordered this breakfast sandwich thinking it would come as any other Cuban breakfast sandwich; toasted, buttery, and with the little papita sticks. To my surprise it was nothing I'd hoped for because it's a CUBAN BAKERY; they could do no wrong! Boy was I mistaken... instead I got this SAD sandwich that was falling apart with little to no effort and a few more seconds and they would've burnt the eggs. I also got a ham croqueta which was horrific; the fakest most processed croqueta I've ever seen. Quite disappointed.

I was there with my friend a few weeks ago after we got our vaccine near this bakery. We weren't familiar with the area, so we asked people working at the vaccine site to see if they know any good local bakery. One of the guys suggested this place. We got some croquetas and Cuban bread with a cup of cafe con leche. They were so tasty! The place was clean, and the staff there were friendly. If I am in the area, I would stop by again!

Our family have been costumers for over 10 years. We love their steaks sandwiches, but this is the second time that we buy them and they are just not the same. Their steaks use to be well seasoned full of flavor. The sandwiches we bought were tasteless, the meat was dry and tasted as if it had been refrigerated for days. The meat looked dry and hard as a sole. They either changed who cooks and prepares the food or they are just not making the effort to give customers what they pay for.

Cute little bakery that offers pastries, milkshakes, coffees and light bites. There is also a section for wine. You can also pre-order off of their catering menu for upcoming parties or events, from small pastries like pastelitos and empanadas to lechón and trays of rice, salads, and sides...etc. Everything looked very good and the items I tried were very good, service was good as well. I can't wait to go back to try some sweets on my next trip. P.S. A lot of people ordered their croquetas when I was there, so I would assume those are good to try there.

Been coming to this restaurant for about 15 years give or take. This place is the most inconsistent restaurant I have ever visited my life. Some days feel like I was given the tastiest best food ever. And other days I receive cold or completely hollow empanada. Not only this but at least 30% of the time they WILL get your order wrong. I never write Yelp reviews and they've pissed me off so much recently that I just had to let someone know. Absolutely ridiculous. Hire better servers/employee's please they are god awful.

Just ordered a Arroz Imperial with Maduros and assorted pastries and Cuban sandwiches everything was delicious. Which would have been 5 stars but the fact that I was charged an extra 7. 50 extra for using my debit card and I wasn't even told I was going to be a charged extra and it's not posted anywhere was just very upsetting and that will definitely determine whether I go again to purchase anything there if I'm gonna be charged a surcharge for using my debit card.

The food was good; however, there's a woman by the name of Megan who is very nasty.. needs to learn how to treat customers. Thank God she's only there on the weekends. When I go to the bakery from Monday-Friday early morning, the service is excellent and the new manager, she is blonde ... she is great.. she needs to be recognized.

We catered our Cuban pork, friend plantains, black beans and white rice for our cuban thanksgiving (few days early for family in town). The pork was delicious!! It was juicy and filled with flavor. The beans were also very tasty. Of all the places we have purchased Cuban food from, this is definitely my favorite and would recommend for others to try.
