Bumper repair from collision. Quality comes later for those who wait. It always takes a while. When insurance is involved. Upon completion of repair my car was cleaned better than when I brought it in which was a nice added touch. Specialty auto listens to and cares about their customers.

I had an excellent experience with Special T Auto Collision. From start to finish, their team was professional, honest, and incredibly skilled. They repaired my car after a deer took out half of my front end, and the results were flawless — you’d never know anything had happened. The paint matched perfectly, and the bodywork was done with great attention to detail.
They also kept me informed throughout the process and finished the job right on schedule. It’s clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality auto body repairs and top-notch service.

Don't settle with the first answer you get from your insurance company trying to total your car! Ask for a 2nd opinion a actual appraiser to come not just quote off pictures ! Special t will fight for you they will help you in literally any way that they can ! I was recommended from my mother a insurance agent, because of the high praises from her customers to come to special t and I couldn't be happier! It will always be this shop for any future needs !

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Specialty Auto in Crystal River, FL, and I can't recommend them enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff who made me feel right at home. The shop itself is clean and well-organized, reflecting their commitment to professionalism.
The team at Specialty Auto Services is highly skilled and experienced. They took the time to thoroughly assess my vehicle and explained the necessary repairs in a way that was easy to understand. I appreciated their transparency regarding costs and timelines, which made the entire process stress-free.

***The majority of 5 star reviews were for the previous owner Tim. Tim deservered 10 stars, he was kind, honest, fair and was a master of his craft. **** This review is for the new owner Justin. My father was in an accident and took his car to Special T Auto to have the body work done. Special T Auto's communication skills are terrible, they will give you a completion date, but it won't be done. My father or I drove to the shop a couple times, when they told us the car would be finished the next day, but learned quickly to call first! I personally don't like making extra trips or wasting gas, it would have been nice if they called to let us know there was a delay. Special T Auto will not take accoutability for thier poor communiation skills, TERRIBLE work, or mutiple delays. I am not sure how much in total they charged my father for the horrible work they but I found a receipt for $9,500. They messed up the electical, cords were hanging out, put parts on incorrectly and after the car left Special T, no other place would touch it including the dealer, because of all the issues. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSEL AND MONEY, DO NOT USE SPECIAL T AUTO. The dealer and another place who said they wouldnt work on it, also said they had similar issues with vehichles coming from Special T Auto.
8/16/2024 - Contacted Special T Auto to request all documents associated to my fathers vehicle. She said she would talk to Justin and call me back.
8/24/2024 - Shocking! I didn't receive a call back or documents requested.

Worst service i’ve ever had. I had my truck towed to this place and it took 3 1/2 weeks for them to look at it. Did look at it. They told me they couldn’t do anything with. When I had it towed back to my house, I could not believe the way it was returned to me. Everything was all disconnected hanging off the truck. Please see the attached.. If there is a way to give this company a negative rating, it would be -5 stars. The level of incompetency runs deep all the way to the owner, who was an arrogant , Incompetent individual. Steer clear of the establishment at all cost..

They did a great job fixing my BMW door - hard paint to match - looked really good. Decided to take in my F150 in to get new rocker panels and a new truck bed. Water collected in the truck bed (under the liner) and rotted the corner beyond repair. Justin and company did an amazing job! OMG - the truck looks brand new. I arranged the truck bed from LKQ (in Crystal River and they delivered to Special T) and Justin took it from there. It took just over 2 weeks - which I think is fast consider the amount of work and paint needed. Thank you, Special T!!

Had an accident on way to Crystal River and since I live in Illinois I knew nothing about the area. I brought my car in on a Monday and was promised the end of the week. 2 and a half weeks later I came to pick up at their closing time and told car was done. My mistake for not looking at my car but paid my bill and took my rental car back and when I finally saw my car I was aghast. Car was painted poorly with pinholes in it, didn’t clean it up and there was sandpaper and paint dust on interior. Overspray on door molding and the car still pulled. Of course they were closed and I had a 1300 mile drive home so I left. Saw my insurance company 2 days later and explained everything to them . Brought to my Toyota dealer to have the wheel knuckle and bearing replaced then aligned. After that I brought to a competent body shop here and was told they never have seen such a poorly done work from any body shop. They fixed all of the problems caused by the work done here and did a great job. P.S. there is a reason why the place looks like a junkyard and don’t believe a word that comes out of Melissa’s mouth. And now I hear my company is going after them.

I really tried hard not to do this. We chose to use this company to support local small business. After 4 months of back and forth we were finally informed that the car was finished minus a small plastic piece under the mirror. I got the keys from the shop and let them know I would be back after closing to pick the car up once I had a ride. When I got in the check engine light was on. I drove home to find the transmission not shifting, the AC blowing hot, and the power steering make a noise. Part of the repairs were crushed lines so I knew what the issue was. Power steering fluid was empty, AC was not recharged and transmission fluid empty. Took the car to dodge who had it for another month (yes 5 months no car) just to find the transmission was compromised due to negligence and had to be replaced. Fast forward car is repaired. Still needing pin stripes and the plastic mirror piece from the body shop that they said they would call about when they received. Went to the shop to ask when they would finish just to be informed they would need to ask our insurance company for more money. So they replaced a fender that was pinstriped and refuse to finish without more money. Awesome customer service. If you go here and they say they will call you back.......nope. Don't expect them to stand behind their work or call you back. Every time we call the desk lady will say I will call you back. Her call back button is broken. Clearly a tactic to get off the phone. Oh and I am still trying to figure out how they cashed my insurance checks without my signature.
