“Wonderful experience with 88 cycling, specifically with Ronnie, who is helpful, knowledgeable, and direct. I’m a novice with biking but felt comfortable in the store right away and didn’t feel like I would be taken advantage of as I have in other establishments. They worked with my budget without judgment and without trying to upsell me, they were direct and honest with availability, helped me acquire and tune up my bike, have available all needed to get me started without having to spend a fortune. “I decided to try this bike shop to purchase a new bike rack and have my wife's bike serviced. My wife had used the store much earlier to purchase bikes for her children a decade ago, although I had read some of the reviews that said the interface with the owner was not great,I do not judge a book by its cover I found Dino to be knowledgeable. provide excellent service and always available if I had a problem. In fact, he said never hesitate to come back if I needed some help with the rack installation which he did for me at the store when I purchased. The service he did on my wife's bike was superior than some of the other name cycle shops we have frequented. His prices were fair. I will be using the shop in the future for my bicycle needs.”

“I had a flat on my e-bike and I found it hard to find a shop to fix it. The first place insisted on texting with me all day only to ghost me when I told them I just wanted to fix a flat, not buy new tires. The second place only works on e-bikes that they sell, which is not the type I have. The third place only fixes motorcycles though they sell e-bikes, too. Finally, I decided to go to SOMI Bike. I called first to see if I needed an appt and they told me just to drop in so I did. They gave me a quote up-front, which they stuck to at time to pay. They were all very nice. It should be noted that no one in there spoke very much English. That's ok with me bc I understand and speak some Spanish but this might be a problem for some people. They seemed to understand English just fine, though. I spoke English the whole time and they spoke Spanish and we were able to communicate effectively. They told me to expect my bike to be ready in 4 days but it was actually done about 90 minutes later so I was able to run back and pick it up the same day before I had to leave for work, which made me very happy! It's nice that it is located on the Underline Path. The price was fair but I did find it a little odd that they are set up to receive tips at check out. I get it, everyone is doing it these days but, really? I can't blame them- why be the only ones not asking for a tip? But I don't love how overboard the tipping culture is getting around here. I plan to make this place my "home" bike shop from now on. I also liked that it's a bit more of a 'humble' shop unlike some of the other bigger or fancier places that are all about the mark-up and not about getting people out there enjoying biking. Overall, a great experience.”
