They have minimal interest or care in the health of your pet imo, and it costs you EVERYTHING! Heartbroken. Go to Blake

My dog Roxy had 2 cancer surgeries. The cancer may came back and the vet said that surgery was not an option before an X-ray or blood test was done. He never said why surgery was not an option and I should of but did not ask why. I took his word for it. After a week Roxy stopped eating and took Roxy back to the vet. She seemed weak After s blood test and X-ray it looked like the cancer traveled to her liver . I was convinced to put her to sleep by the vet. I felt it was a mistake. When I got home I looked up liver cancer on Google and it I read that part of the liver affected by the cancer could be removed and the liver regenerates itself. I was never told this by Dr. Taylor. If I was informed of this then I would have looked into a surgery for Roxy even by another doctor. Now I will never know. Will not go back with my other dog.

I took my puppy for a walk in on a Saturday. It was a long wait but perfectly worth it. Jen and dr Jones were incredibly helpful and the staff had water bowls and their a little outside area for the dogs to poop and pee. I was originally going just for the bump on my dog but I have found my puppy's vet! I would highly recommend this place.

Dr Jones is superb! We had to take our 10yo boxer in for quality of life assessment. Dr Jones walked us through what he thought as he reviewed the chart. When it was decided he needed to be put down, Dr Jones was so patient and gave us as much time as we needed to spend with our dog before the process. The clinic was closed and it didn't matter to the clinic that we needed time. Dr Jones got on the floor with our pet and my husband and showed such compassion for us and our beloved dog. He is truly caring and understanding of the emotional stress of losing a fur baby.

Having driven my cat for one hour to get to Dade City Animal clinic I was there for my 2.30pm appointment on time. 40 minutes later I started the 1 hour drive back without being seen. The place is so inefficiently run people all over the place dogs all over the place but what was concerning was that there were two Pitbulls one of them was coughing so badly I can only assume it was kennel cough. I approached the front desk and told them I was going to wait in my car and they said they would call me. After a while someone came out but she was looking for somebody else. Finally somebody called on the phone and told me they were waiting for me at the door I went in waited for five minutes, Nobody was there for me so I just left. No I would never recommend this place. If that dog that was coughing had kennel cough he was also infecting other animals in the vicinity. People just walking around with the dogs aimlessly in the office people behind the desk so disorganized one thing they did make sure they asked me for was to sign to make sure I was going to pay before I left. I put my cat through tremendous trauma the barking dogs was distressing him and going back and forth from the car into the vets, office and back to the car and into the vets office. It was very stressful for him. I'm glad I left when I did a very negative experience.

I'll start off by saying I am very pleased with every interaction I have had with the large animal technicians, they are always very helpful and professional. The same cannot be said for the officer manager and receptionists. My pet was currently being treated for a urinary tract infection by this animal hospital and needed a refill of antibiotics due to a persistent infection. I spoke with the receptionist regarding payment of medications and having them mailed to my house because we were headed out of the country and my pet sitter would be taking care of our babies. My card information and address were confirmed and I was told it would be handled. Fast forward 3 days and medications have still not arrived and my pet is now out of antibiotics. I call the animal hospital pretty upset, the receptionist has the office manager call me back only to tell me I'm mistaken and further action on my part was required online before the medications would have been sent... I was never informed of this by anyone. As the conversation continues the office manager told me she didn't like the way I was speaking to her and that if I didn't stop she would "hang up and she will not help my pet get his medications". WOW. Just wow. How unprofessional and where is the care and compassion for the animal? They assumed no responsibility for anything (not even the miscommunication by their staff). Out of curiosity I checked my email after the nasty interaction with the office manager and it turns out I received an email shortly after my initial request that the medications be mailed to me that the receptionist was mistaken and she would shred my card information and further action was required. I'm not sure why that didn't warrant a courtesy call back to inform me? My email wasn't checked due to the fact of traveling outside the country. I was even given an attitude this morning when I called requesting my pets records be emailed to me because I didn't download an app and retrieve the records myself- I was actually hung up on. The animal hospital itself is beautiful but if you actually want a team that truly cares for the well-being of your pet I would go elsewhere-I definitely recommend you do not waste your time with this animal hospital.

Took my cat to Dade City Veterinarian because our vet was booked. They almost killed my cat, they did An X-ray and said it was blockage and needed emergency surgery and sent us to Blue Pearl when we got there no surgeon or a person to read an X-ray was on site. Waited 5 hours and finally left. Got a call at 5am to say there was no blockage. Took her to Dr.Blake yesterday to find out she has a virus and that God she was not cut open. Both places just wanted our money. So sad you can't trust anyone but Dr. Blake

The Cowpen School at a local ranch was quite spectacular. The good doctor took time to explain exactly what was going on and what we were seeing.

Apologies for the delayed review. Our 13 year Schnauzer had Congestive Heart Failure that limited her during the last year. We elected to take her in the RV camping to permit her to enjoy the best of her time with us. While in FL, she began to stop eating and didn't want to interact with us, letting us know it was time. Looking on Yelp, we found this Clinic and were treated with nothing but the utmost kindness. From the initial phone call, the vet tech Giz, Doctor, office staff and everyone we encountered made our visit as best it could be. When we arrived in to the exam room, Schatzi passed on her own terms unexpectedly. The staff was compassionate and so kind as we processed what was happening. They assisted with all the arrangements and each staff member was so caring and understanding. While we don't live in the area, I would not hesitate to make this my primary veterinarian. As we were camping, our camp neighbors had a similar situation with their dog, so we referred them to the Dade City Animal Clinic and they were able to share that they had the same level of care and compassion that was shown to us. Words just can't say how grateful we are to everyone there as we said goodbye to our best friend and pack leader.
