First time using HR Block; won’t use them again. Lots of misinformation and confusion with them .

I made an appointment, the general manager emailed me and told me to choose another location and time. I chose this location and had an appointment. When I came in, they said they didn’t see my appointment. A woman had a client. The older gentleman was on the phone not caring and other person did not have clients but they told me I need to wait for the woman. If I’m considered a walk in because YOU don’t see my appointment, then shouldn’t I get the next representative? I waited 30 minutes which was very generous and left. Last year Carmen did my taxes and I was charged $300 and I didn’t get any money back. I should’ve just done it online.

I've used h&r block many many times with no issues. Of course that was face-to-face. This year I decided to file online through the h&r block website. I received notification that I needed to fill one more form and I'm getting no help from anybody just getting the runaround even though I paid the extra fee for peace of mind in case of an audit or questions from the IRS. Their systems basically don't talk so either you have the AI assistant or you have to pay extra to going to an office for something as simple as one additional form. Very disappointed in them and having to dish out more money to get this reviewed. Trying to find the corporate phone number to file a complaint, but of course that's difficult too. And the phone number just gives you the runaround again.

This place charged me almost 300 to file my taxes and at the end I ended having to pay the irs back. THIS PLACE OVERCHARGES last time I do my taxes with these people. All they care about is taking your money

I had the best experience ever with my taxes done by HR Block in Davie, FL. The Senior Tax Analyst, Yara Consiglio, was very knowledgable, polite, professional, on time, detail oriented, explained me every step, asked me the right questions, and finished everything in one visit, because she had already studied my previous taxes and my uploaded documents. I recommend her and HR Block to everyone, self-employed, free lancer, employed or a combination of all three, as it was my case.
