I am a bus driver-looking for a room that offers a chance to sleep uninterrupted by the outside noises of the highway and the, across international speedway race track.Room 256, is not the room to offer quiet. The sliding window is poorly insulated.Every vehicle passing , can be heard on I-95, not & south bound.Truly wished-the owners, managers, staff, would stay in these rooms-to experience, what the guest must endure.Sink- water goes down slow. There are stores, fuel stations, pharmacy, within walking of the hotel. The hotel is 2 story .The parking lot illumination is super bright.A writer mentioned the hotel being quiet-it is.The road noise, over shadows,or overcomes theInterior quietness.

I have stayed at this hotel many times for the Speedweek races. Reading these reviews had me worried. I checked in 2/12/24 for 4 nights.. I had no issues with roaches, the check in was pleasant and quick and they gave me a room right where I wanted it.. The breakfast was as always better than anywhere I've stayed.. The shower control is challenging if you've never stayed there but ask the desk and they will tell you how it works.. I had ample hot water as well. Of course the location is perfect for the races and the pool is best of any place I've stayed but February isn't always perfect for getting in..If you like to walk there is endless shopping and dining within a mile of the lobby.. I do miss Millers Ale House which was just a few steps next door (they moved) but this will still be my go to when going to Speedweeks..

While the staff and location are nice, the rooms and building all around are NOT!I cannot believe they have the audacity to charge $500 for one night. This building needs to be demolished and is a health risk. The wall was so rotten and wet it moved, the sliding door was falling apart, the bathtub does not drain while taking a shower so the tub fills up. Room reaked of mold. Front entrance doors were propped open with buckets in lobby catching water from leaks as well.

Stayed here last night, February 14, 2024, went to turn off the TV and something caught my eye… I had cockroaches on my pillow! No joke, traumatized!!! I went to the front desk to tell them the situation and we left immediately! I was told that the manager would contact me first thing in the morning… He did not! I have tried to speak to him relentlessly today, without success! I have been told he’s not in his office and he’s moving things??? Richard Avery, if you are reading this, I expect a phone call and a full refund, as soon as possible!

Room was musty as all hell, we found multiple cockroaches in the room. And theres black mold on the ceilings in the bathroom. Oh and housekeeping doesn't knock and walks right into your room..If your looking for a place to stay in Daytona Id stay well clear of this place…

This was my second stay at this hotel. I came for my Birthday on this visit. My first was not great but ok enough to give it another try BIG MISTAKE. first room smelled like mildew and the carpet was wet smell so strong that we had to move to another room which had the same issue but mold in the bathroom even on the wall. The curtain rod rusted so could not hang the towel there. Had to kill several Roaches and hoped none would come home with us. The mildew smell was in our clothes and had to be washed. I know they had a bad Storm there recently and I believe the first floor may have had some flooding and they didn't notify us. Because it made no sense for both rooms to smell like mildew with wet carpets. A lot of the plug outlets were no good and what we plugged in would fall right out. Funny thing is the room we moved to was the one I stayed in on my first visit was upset that the condition was so horrible. The good things are Sheets and towels we cleaned and in good condition and the breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly. But will have to stay somewhere else next time. Very very unsatisfied ???Rooms: NASTY, MOLDY AND ROACHES

If you like to sleep with roaches this is the hotel for you. The front desk girls were nice but the whole building reeks of mold. When you head down the corridor to your room you’ll see the dirt tracks and evidence of mold as you walk to your room. Open the door of your spacious roach haven. Yes you’ll find them crawling in your bed. Yes, they have a family in the bathroom and don’t touch any pictures as they will scurry from underneath. These roaches even come out in the daytime, they don’t care you’re in their house. Seriously I called the health department and they already do a monthly check at this hotel. The manager / owner Richard Avery could care less about this review or my stay at his hotel. Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car or on the beach instead of here. A rest area on the highway will provide quieter and better sleep.Rooms: Dirty, old furniture, full of roaches. Moldy. I kept my shoes on and slept with my clothes on but I’m sure the roaches crawled on me.Safety: Sliding glass doors lead to the parking lot what can be more safe than thatWalkability: Abandoned mall next door, on a busy highway so you can here that all nightFood & drinks: Breakfast buffet, don’t worry about that extra crunch… it’s a protein bugNoteworthy details: Moldy, full of bugs, dirty sheets and comforters. A fine place to lay your head down for the night

The carpet in room and especially in main hotel hall was filthy. The room had bugs. People a desk were helpful when asked, but did not greet you when you entered hotel. Breakfast was good and kept up well. The area was nice and quiet. Room too expensive especially for conditions.

My significant other booked a room here for the Rolex Race. We needed one night, but they make you book two for the races. Everything around the track was booked solid so we had no other choices. We read the reviews and really had serious second thoughts about our choice. All of these bad reviews have responses from the owner stating they’d address the issues. I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. We checked in quickly and headed to the race and returned late at night. I didn’t really inspect the room at that time of check in. I didn’t expect a legendary suite but I did expect cleanliness. When we returned I noticed there is mold in the bathroom vents and ceiling, the shower handle worked opposite than you would expect, and the bed blanket had a stain on it. I wasn’t happy, but it was late and I thought I could get over it. Saturday we went to start of race and again, stayed very late into the wee hours. When we returned that night I was freaked out over the sheer amount of bugs and roaches that were literally crawling all over the walls, bed and floors. It was utterly disgusting! We stayed long enough to shower, pack and get back to the race. I couldn’t even bring myself to sleep there. The whole time I was just disgusted. Unbelievable that this place would charge such an exorbitant amount for a race event knowing that have an issue that clearly isn’t addressed. Listen, race fans…let me save you some sleepless nights. Dont even bother. Just sleep in your car, I’m sure it’s much cleaner and healthier than this place. They serve a continental breakfast…how? The health department would most likely shut this place down. I will never ever stay at a best western again. This was a horrible choice. A true waste of money. Ruined my entire vacation.
