When I went here 6 months ago they offered me $5 for a 90s Rolling Stones shirt, I sold it next week on eBay for $45. I decided to give them another chance today and I brought in some expensive stuff. The dotty employee even commented how nice everything was, but apparently he has no knowledge of anything because he made me wait 20 minutes so he could send pictures of everything to his boss. He told me to browse around the shop while he waited for his commander’s orders, so I thumbed through the $40 goodwill shirts for as long as I could. Eventually he called me over, but he was hesitant to give me a price on everything. I know the reason is because he was about to offer me a lowball price, but before he could tell me his offer he showed me 3 of MY shirts that he ripped big holes in (these are $80+ shirts each!). He said his reason was to “test” them but he tore them right in the front and down the middle where everyone could see. The least he could do is warn me that he is about to pull my shirts unreasonable hard and destroy them. When I confronted him all he could do is shell up and shake only offering the rebuttal that “we need to test them.” Unreal. Makes sense that the kid works here as he wouldn’t even make at the burger king around the corner. The shirts are now trash. Would love to here from the owner and talk about reparations, but I’m sure that won’t happen. Save the trip, go to citi thrift instead (that’s where they get there clothes anyways).

I was so so upset when Moxie Vintage announced they were closing down. They had such unique and stylish clothing. Their store was FULL of insane finds at amazing prices (15-20 for jeans, $10 for and it was always packed, any day of the week. It was such an iconic store that the whole community loved. I was hopeful when I saw “Daytona Vintage” was opening where Moxie Vintage was. I thought they would replicate what Moxie Vintage was all about but it’s just such a fail. I get sad every time I have visited. The selection is so slim, the clothes are so overpriced and worn out/ not stylish. It’s like they shop at goodwill and turn around and slap a $60 tag on jeans or an old Daytona beach bike week T-shirt. Any time I’ve taken clothes there they’ve said no because they are “too new”.. You used to be able to walk into Moxie and get a whole new wardrobe with GENTLY used, unique, dope clothes. They would post a pic of a pair of shoes or jeans on their instagram and it would be gone that same day. In the 6 times I have visited Daytona Vintage there hasn’t been a soul inside and I’ve never found anything that even interested me. They should’ve taken pointers from the owners of Moxie Vintage because they had hundreds of loyal customers. I don’t even know how they will afford rent. We are all so sad and disappointed.

Love this place, a selection that brings back all the best memories of my childhood. The staff is super friendly and the clothes aren’t dingy and unwashed like what you’ll have to rifle through to hope to find a gem at goodwill.
