“My husband and I switched our primary care to Excellence Health back in August of 2025 while residing in Port Orange and was assigned to Cindy Perdue who was wonderful.
In September of 2025 we moved to Edgewater and Cindy then re-assigned us to the New Smyrna Beach office that had recently opened there. At first we were a bit scared because we were happy with Cindy.
A few weeks after our move Michelle Huff the Medical Assistant at the New Smyrna Beach office called to get us set up with appointments for our new primary care journey. She was surprisingly encouraging and happy to be working with us (which you don't see much anymore).
I am a paraplegic from the waist down and my husband has scleroderma and Raynaud's Syndrome so we are not easy patients.
We can not pass enough PRAISE and APPRECIATION on to Michelle Huff who is always there willing to help, and go above and beyond when I call with issues I'm having. She jumps right on the issue and truly cares about what's going on, and if need be gets with Dr. Niki Patel or Dr. Husam Eddin to find the resolution.
In these days and times it's hard to find healthcare providers that genuinely care about the well-being of their patients, but again, we can't say enough about how wonderful the staff at the New Smyrna Beach office is.

“Dr John R. Chewning is great at helping me prevent diabetes. The medical weight loss he has prescribed has been amazing. I was a 2XL. Now I'm an XL since August. 20 lbs. It's very noticable at my waistline. My blood pressure has also come down. As a person Dr Chewning puts me at ease and lowers my stress level when talking about issues. He is both kind and knowlegable. The medical weight loss medication has been affordable even with just my Medicare insurance. 5?????”

“Except for a rude receptionist, everybody else was great, fast service. I know the receptionist deals with a lot of people everyday, but a little bit less nastiness would help. We are all there because there is possibly something wrong and her attitude doesn't help.”
