Drove 40 minutes to find out that their system is down and they can’t take my controllers for trade in. Unreal.

Stopped in while at the mall, not what it use to be when I was a kid. Game selection was limited and the prices were a bit high for used items.

The people there provide great service. They greet you as you enter their door with a smile. I've just been impressed by how interested they are in what I'm looking for. Just a great team here!

Never returning to this store or the ormond store again. Will start doing all my preorders through best buy. Same as previous reviewers. Get a phone call to go to the ormond store for the Zelda tears of the kingdom release. I preordered at the Volusia Mall store. Always get 2 copies, one for my son who is in college and one for myself. My son and I both went to get our copies. When we get there, come to find out we were supposed to go to the Volusia store and pay it off there before 3 pm. No mention of that during the phone call. I asked about the preorder bonus. Since I was paying full price for both copies and the "preorder" was not counting, my son could have paid for his own. Collector's editions when released, were sold out very quickly. Come to find out these stores ended up with extras and if you were one of the "special" people that got an early enough, correct phone call, you could have come in before 3 and not only pay off your preorder but could have paid for a "pre order" collectors edition. That was not mentioned in the phone call either. Told they will have 2 collector's editions available at Volusia mall when they open but he informed me he was telling everyone that.SERIOUSLY, what an ID10T! Now I'm not getting to use any of my preorder money, I'm paying full price for both games and staying up way late to get a game. When I paid for both games and I asked about the preorder bonus and was told I would be getting them, not being told I was only going to get 1 or to just have my son purchase to get the second, since he is standing right beside me. While standing in line if you happen to be one of the "lucky" collector's edition purchasers only 7 people but people had multiple copies, then you got your copy of the game at 11:50, some of these people got their preorder bonuses and some did not. If the game is in your hand at 11:50 and you have paid for it, technically means you own it whether you have left the store or not. Maybe Nintendo needs to know that as well. I see him hand a girl 2 of the preorder bonuses. I'm second in line. The "special" people who got the collectors edition were given their "preorder" bonuses before midnight as well and did not have to stand in line like the rest of us. Yes I watched him hand a girl 2 preorder bonuses .When I get to my turn in line, I'm told the second employee messed up on my receipt and I have to wait for him to change something in the computer before I can get my games after I have been waiting for 1.5 hours. When I get my games with my adult son with me, I'm told I can only have 1 preorder bonus. SERIOUSLY, I'm not a cash cow for your "special" friends to get all the benefits. I have been gaming longer than most of these kids have been alive and getting treated like a second class citizen, does not fly! This kind of garbage is ridiculous and was what started getting gamestop in trouble in the first place. Will be looking for another place to spend my money for preorders. Loved my gamestop in Pinellas County, everyone was treated fairly. NOT HERE. Boycotting both these stores. So here's the kicker, three days later I get a phone call on Sunday to come and pick up my 2 copies of the game. Poor management!

The manager and employees gave me nothing but exceptional service and had great attitudes the entire time. I did something extremely stupid and they went above and beyond what they had to do and basically made my mistake disappear. I can say without a doubt that this mistake would not have been fixable at a regular store like Walmart or Target and I would have just been stuck with my mistake.I would also like to add in that most of the 1 star reviews are self inflicted or written by non gamers and judgemental people. In the same sense that my mistake was my fault, maybe some of those reviewers should look inwards as well. 1 review mad about what a guy who works at a game store is wearing and another review about them not having a game available on day 1 that they didn't pre-order at an hour before closing. Here's a bit of clarity on that review... They always have extra copies aside from preorders, however there is a good chance that if the game was as popular as the review states that it probably sold out well before an hour before they closed, and NO they are not going to sell you a pre-ordered copy. 100% not GameStop's fault.*I do not work for GameStop or know a single employee who works at one.

The kid working the counter was rude, kept speaking to me on and off with this weird fake "British" accent, and slightly teased me about how the games I was purchasing were bad games, What type of store is this? I thought I was in grade school all over again. Treat your customers better gamestop. This location is total garbage please never come here
