Victoria that works up front is one of the nastiest and worst customer service people I've ever met. Should be fired.

This was sent to BBB, and will be sent to corporate office as well...but not sure they care, see their national rating at the bottom...despicable.November 6, 2023Best Buy of Daytona Beach1900 W International Speedway, Ste 200Daytona Beach, FL 32114Bottom line up front: I spent $434.83 for an HP laptop at Best buy with a 3 year full coverage warranty, and Best Buy refuses to honor the warranty. On April 10th, 2021, I purchased the HP 14 Laptop from Best Buy in Williamsburg, Virginia.I also purchased the 3 year warranty and was told it would cover any failures of the laptop; software, hardware, or even abuse; expiration date: April 9, 2024.On or about July 20, 2023, the laptop failed for no apparent reason and would not boot up. With nearly a year left on the warranty, I took it to my local Best Buy where I now live, which is located in Daytona, Florida.I had an appointment, but those aren't honored at the Daytona store, first come first served was my experience. When I described the issue with the "Geek Squad", the team member went to the back room, where two apparent members of the "leadership" team had overheard the conversation. Those two managers never returned to the front. The team member returned saying that the warranty did not cover a Microsoft upgrade, which happens without action from the consumer. Are you kidding me, Best Buy sells cheap Chinese junk that is not robust enough to survive an OS update...and then won't honor their own warranty?!?I asked to speak to a manager, the two obvious geek squad managers/team leads did not return, a fourth "Customer care" specialist, who also overheard the conversation, indicated that he was a member of their management team, and joined the conversation, to which I replied he didn't look like a manager, just a deflector I suspected...he also refused to assist, at which point I was approaching extreme frustration with this cluster. I indicated if they did not honor their warranty I would seek other avenues of resolution, to include litigation, it is a principled dispute now.At this point, I took my laptop and headed for the door. As I approached the cashiers, who could tell I was upset, I asked to speak to the store manager, to which they replied how can we help you, and they seemed sincere...right as EDUARD walked by in his notable red "sneakers"...how fitting, as he tried to sneak past the front door to some hideout no doubt. I noticed the cashiers glancing towards EDUARD as he passed, but said nothing, as if it were a common failed management team drill...At this point I called out, "Hey mister, are you the manager?" To which EDUARD replied, in as evasive an affirmative response as possible, "I am one of the managers" I explained the problem to him, to which he replied that since I had mentioned possible litigation against Best Buy, he was not going to even talk to me.I have been a professional engineer in the state of Florida for over 25 years, and in management and leadership positions inside the Army and out and have never seen a less consumer friendly or less properly managed operation than Best Buy of Daytona Beach, totally irresponsible management.I will not eat the $434.83 for a useless laptop. I would prefer my money back, or a replacement laptop as I was assured on the day of purchase. Otherwise, I will seek litigation, trying first to resolve through the BBB.Horrible experience at Best Buy of Daytona Beach, you've earned zero stars! Do a good job, and I'll tell 2-3 people; rip me off, and now in the electronic age, I will tell thousands...good business model, Best Buy of Daytona Beach. But wait, there is more! I queried Best Buy on the BBB website...and this is what I found: "Customer Reviews 1.07/5 stars. All customer reviews are handled by the BBB where the company is Headquartered or a central customer review processing location. Average of 2,148 Customer Reviews"

I've had really good experiences with most of their service departments. However, I would like to give a special thanks to the guys working in their Geek Squad department... for sending me to the Apple Store instead of actually trying to help me. Let me elaborate: I stopped in because I was having trouble with my iphone and Spectrum suggested I take it there. The guy told me it would be better to make an appointment because they would be able to spend more time with me. He then stated that if they had to send my phone off to apple for repairs, it would cost about $300 and I told him that it is still under apples 1 year warranty. I came back for my appointment and they then stated that it would be best for me to go to the Apple Store because they "can't send it to Apple from here if it needs repairs" then explained that my overhearig problem is because of my Otterbox case all three of them standing their agreed (including the one who had mad my appointment 2 days before). I left and drove the 50 minutes to the closest Apple Store where the gal I met with laughed out loud when I told her what the guy at geek squad said about my Otterbox case and then proceeded to fix my phone's problem (that had nothing to do with the Otterbox case). So, I would like to extend a very grateful thank you to the geek squad at this location for sending me to the Apple Store where they actually were able to fix my problem.

Went to buy a keyboard spent 30 minutes picking one out. Go up to the register totally different price than what is labeled. Apparently it's a common occurrence or normal thing to have things missed priced or miss labeled from what the manager told me. Guess they false advertise and make up for it with saying there is a sign at that register that explains that can happen

I don't appreciate being straight up lied too. I bought the AppleCare protection plan for my Apple computer. I specifically asked "if anything goes wrong with my computer do I have to pay anything? " The answer was "you don't have to pay a dime, everything is covered, you bring it in and we will have it fixed at zero cost!" well that's absolute BS .....and from what I understand I'm not the only person who has had this problem with Best Buy employees not explaining how the program really works. There are time extremely long delays and there are fees associated with this program...... buyer beware!

I made an appointment 3 weeks ahead for Stereo install. When I arrived 15 mins ahead of appointment was told by technician that only 1 of 2 install employees came in and they would not honor my appointment. He said he had an appointment scheduled after mine and offered to get manager. Manager was unprofessional and arrogant. Asked why my install appointment wouldn't be honored vs the one scheduled after mine. Tech said they called me a hour before I arrived. When I check messages I missed a call with no voice message left.Manager offered no discount/for future install. I drove 2 hrs round trip for nothing. I found Mobile Install Solutions located in Daytona and he drove to me in Palm Coast and installed 2 days after contact for less cost. Real professional owner operator!Highly recommend Enmanuel of Mobile Install Solutions!Contact:386-453-4146

Garred was the most personable and helpful associate in the wireless phone department I have encountered in a long time! That was certainly several steps up from the "customer service" associate from AT&T. If you're ever there, ask for Garred!

I have now heard everything. I brought my granddaughter's Apple Watch into Best Buy to have it serviced, and yes I had an appointment. Now, I have bought 4 Apple watches, 3 computers, umpteen phones, and assorted appliances in the same store. I asked the manager if I could have a small bag to put the strap and watch pieces in so I would not lose them. I was told that it against the store policy to give bags to customers. "I could buy a bag." After the thousands of dollars I spent in this store, I was stunned. As I walked around the store the manager, Mario, followed me to make sure some else didn't give me a small bag. What happened to customer service? This is ridiculous, I will now spend my money elsewhere.

This store has the WORST customer service. I tried approaching 4 different employees for help. I literally needed to buy a kindle..knew which one I wanted and was ready to pay and leave, but every single one of them was either clueless or rude. The first told me someone would be right over, after 20 minutes, I waited in line at the customer service line to have another employee tell me 'I told you to go to computers' in a bossy tone, which I thought was I interesting, because I had not yet spoken to him AT ALL before that. The third said he had no 'keys' and I needed to wait. The fourth informed me (with an attitude) that he hadn't even clocked in yet, so he wasn't going to help me. At that point, I left. Went to target, and literally got what I needed in less than 5 minutes, and from a friendly And smiling employee. Thank you, @Target!

Horrible experience dealing with the Manger Mario. I will never shop at Best Buy again because of him. I contacted corporate with no response.

No help at all. Waited 20 min plus. Spoke to someone about needing help. No help. Spoke to another team member that we needed help. No help. Employees walking around texting and what not. Just walking past not looking to help or even ask if we've been helped. I am a manager for a big box retail store so I know what is expected. Bad business. If you don't want my business I know other places that will. Waste of time.

Customer service is literally terrible. The members at geek squad are very rude , short, and unprofessional. Management won't help. I've been trying to do an in store replacement for almost a year now. They just want you to go without a phone in order to get a replacement and that's with Apple care +

When my iPhone couldn't connect to my carrier, we (the carrier AND Apple) determined that my phone needed to be replaced which, under my AppleCare, would be free. They said to call Best Buy where I purchased the phone and they'll provide me with a new one. I called Best Buy in Daytona and was told that I'd need to make an appointment with the Geek Squad. Thinking it would be later in the day, I said OK. He told me the next appointment was in six days! I thought I didn't hear that correctly and asked him to repeat it. Yes, I'd be without communications for almost a week. I called Apple back and they said to just go in the store and they'll take care of me. So, I showed up about 20 minutes after the store opened. I went to the Geek Squad counter where three people were being helped by three Geeks. After one of them left, one of the Sheldon wannabees motioned me over to the counter. I presented my phone along with the original receipt and AppleCare documents. I told him that Apple said that I should just bring it back to the store and they would replace it. His first question: "Do you have an appointment"? I explained that Apple said that I didn't need one and I should just walk in since they had already determined that I needed a replacement. He replied, "No, you need an appointment to talk to us". I looked around and, by that time, there was only one customer at the counter and none in line. I said that I'm here now and let's take care of it now. He repeated as if controlled by some mother ship in geosynchronous orbit above the store: "Carbon-based beings need to have an appointment before we will communicate with inferior life forms". ...Okay, so I might be paraphrasing here. I don't know what has happened over the last few years but, it seems that customer service has gone by the wayside and, looking at their reviews, so has customer satisfaction. Best Buy... Get your act together before you're totally replaced by a website. Bruce Williams

Went to best buy (Daytona Beach, FL) today to purchase samsung ear buds for my s22 ultra. About seven sales people walking around. I asked one to help me and they said they'd get someone to help me. A sales person came toward me and passed me to help a guy who just walked up behind me and I complained that I needed someone. They didnt seem to care. I was at counter and interrupted them and told them can you just grab my earbuds and put on counter or something. They seemingly ignored me. I then asked for the complaint box and they acted like they didn't know where it was. I finally got my headphones but will never shop there again. #diaryofamadblackwoman!
