The MOAS was amazing such a large and detailed museum. There were so many items on display we spent over two hours inside looking at all of the displays. If you enjoy history and artifacts then come here. Great experience!

Museum had alot of art that was pleasing to look at, especially Mr. Butcher's photography displayed. The Coca Cola memorabilia and artifacts were enchanting and it was pleasant to reminisce. The train station and trains were a blast from the past. There were several other exhibits to meander through and it was nice to wander through. It was close to $40 total for my husband and I together which was a bit overpriced to us but all in all it was a nice little stop. They do have a planetary there which costs an additional $7 to go to but we did not purchase tickets to that. There is a sensory garden outside by a little fountain but it was closed to visitors at this time. It is a nice little side attraction to visit but definitely NOT on our favorites list. Note we visited on January 3, 2025.

Coming from the NE and looking for a good museum or two. It was so worth seeing The Photographic Art of Clyde Butcher which are all scenes from Florida. Amazing talent!

This is a lower-key science museum than several I've been to, but taken in the context of Daytona Beach being a smaller city, it's respectable. We attended a planetarium show, which was well narrated. I like the permanent exhibits on the trains. The kids in tow weren't quite as impressed with the Coke and teddy bear exhibits as I was, so we passed quickly through there into the interactive kids museum, where we spent most of our time. There were quite a few unique exhibits in there, but also a handful that were out of order.
The giant ground sloth skeleton was cool, but the surrounding space dedicated to natural history was small.
Clyde Butcher's Everglades photography even captured my son's interest, as did the many corals on display in another section of the museum.
All in all, the museum kept us entertained for about 2 hours on a chilly afternoon. Prices are fair.

So much to do for kids 2yo+. They put a lot of thought and effort into the kids experiment area.

We are glad we went. There is a wide selection of exciting and unique things to see here. Unfortunately, the children's area is very run down, and many of the exhibits there are broken or missing parts. We were pretty disappointed that we could not get inside the train cars. They were closed off, so we could only look at them from the outside. The facility is massive with lots of areas to explore. Nice clean bathrooms was a big plus.

I have come here on many of occasions. On field trips with my children and or just for pleasure. The staff is always there to help and support you. They always are there to assist you with any questions. The exhibits are always interesting and interactive and fun. The field trip side is also amazing. They always have things for the kids to do. They always have a kids interacting asking for volunteers. They even come out to the school and do program programs with schools. The museum is always trying to find ways to be engaging with the community.

The MOAS is reasonably priced for a family to spend 2 or so hrs of entertainment. Younger kids will love the kid areas where you can pretend play and do experiments. Older kids will more likely enjoy the planetorium and different movies they show several times a day. Ample parking, no lines and light crowds makes this a nice laid back family outing. The place however is very aged and is not well maintained, especially the children's areas were really bad with half of the experiments broken. Overall its a nice museum if you are within an 1hrs drive but I would not come here if travelling from farther as other major cities have larger and more up to date Museums and Childrens science centers.

10/10 loved this place. I have been two times and I still haven’t seen everything. My kids and I get distracted playing music outside sometimes for 20 minutes before we even remember we still need to go in. The children’s museum here is really the best from the pictures and advertisement you can’t tell how big it is. It’s really well thought out, the planetarium has been remodeled.

Beautiful experience. Time well spent. Beautiful displays of art and science.
Florida history and science at it best. Spend a day with the family and or friends and enjoy learning new things that stimulate the mind, eyes and senses. What a treat!! Friendly environment great and great visual art.

I never knew such a great museum was so close. It's not large, but they have a great collection, including temporary exhibits that change. Come see an original Audubon oil painting, which is rare. This place is worth a second visit soon.

DONT BOTHER ! And don’t bother calling because they don’t know their own business ! We called TWICE and they said their planetarium show started at 4pm and she recommended we get there early for tickets. We show up at 3pm and they said they already started their last show! So we drove up there for nothing. No need to spend $20 on a ticket just to walk around the tiny museum when you don’t even get to do what you were actually looking forward to. We literally called them!
