I have been going to Debary Animal clinic for many years (10+) and that should tell you everything. Dogs to cat I would highly recommend as they have taken care of our loved ones like their own. Highly recommend.

Very caring and patient with my pets and with any end of life decisions. Clean exam rooms & restroom. Upfront invoicing.

The care of this facility for our furry pets have gone down hill. I was extremely shocked on the " so called " care we received on our last visits. Communication is non existent at this place, and we will NOT be returning back here.

I would give 0 stars to the office manager and the vet if I could. First time pet owner, the resident kitty is our family cat that I took when I moved out. I found a kitty outside in need of a home, he was crying by the door every night. I came into this vet experience telling the vet tech that I ONLY wanted to do the exam and the feline leukemia test as I wanted to make sure that this cat would not be getting my kitty back at home sick. They told me that the test would take 10-15 minutes and that they could do it in office. They proceeded with the exam, since this new cat did not have his rabies shots yet they were precautious, they came in with a gown and gloves and treated his as if he had foam spewing out of his mouth. I understood as that is something very serious... however, the vet was examining his teeth and saying "oooh..." "oh no..." and when she was telling me what it COULD be she was avoiding eye contact and acting as if this cat had one day left to live or something.. She was acting as if she found something but did not know how to fully tell me. She stated his stomach felt full and that he would need a stool softener or some murilax. The exam was completed and then they quoted me a bunch of prices for all the other shots that he would eventually need. I told them I just needed to wait until pay day in 3 days for the remainder of the shots and again just needing the feline leukemia test and the exam. The price was above $200, I told the vet tech no again and she agreed to just do test and exam and then I signed something. They took my little kitty to the back and then I heard the vet say "I was probably being a little too cautious with his teeth... it is just better to be safe" and I thought to myself... never show fear when doing an exam until you have a better idea of what is going on. Anyways, they brought him back in to me - put him in the carrier and told me to go pay and to see them in 2 weeks. When I got to the front they told me he got his rabies shot and that the total price is $125. I was told on the phone that the exam is 75 and that the leukemia test would be 20. The bill had the $75 exam, a rabies shot for $30, and $22 for the gown they had to wear and the gloves plus the disposal of it. They never mentioned the disposal fee when they gave me the run down of the price, the one I agreed to pay when I signed. I told the nice woman at the front that I couldn't pay for that unless I gave them a card verbally because all I had was enough cash on me to pay for the price I was originally quoted. Front desk woman went and got the most unkind woman to speak to me, she insisted because I signed that I must pay it all. I told her I feel like they did what the mechanic does to people which is to take advantage of people who are not fully experienced in the line of work they do. The woman they brought up to me also said it is the law and that they MUST get a rabies shot, I figured that is fine and all - I fully get it but could someone have told me that instead of making it seem like they were just going to do the test and exam? I was not made aware that he NEEDED a rabies shot or that I had to pay $22 in disposal fees. When I signed, that was not the agreement and there was no paper that I signed - it was an electronic signature device. I am not complaining that I had to pay for those things, if that is how the cookie crumbles then that is that - the kitty definitely needed a rabies shot, it was just the lack of communication and giving me false expectations that they were going to do things they said they didn't. Needless to say, I will not be coming back to this location as they were not honest with me and I truly feel they took advantage of me.

We have always received exceptional care for our for babies, and for us as parents at the DeBary animal clinic. Everyone from the people you talk to you on the phone, to the people who help you check out, to the people who make follow up calls, and the direct care staff and doctors are all exceptional and are a part of our extended family. Trust is an essential part of a relationship with your pets’ health care. We have the highest level of trust with everyone involved here. Thank you!

17 year old Doberman in pain with urinary tract infection. Called to get her in ASAP and was told they can't take her for 2 days because they have to have tests done on her. We just had numerous tests done at their clinic a month prior and $500. No need for more tests! She was given medication for this and we just needed more meds. All about the money.! We went elsewhere. Next morning

I foster dogs and have taken a number of them to DAC. In one instance, the dog needed to go to an eye specialist. Dr. Richie even contacted them so they could work together in order for the dog to get the best care. I've NEVER had a vet do that. There have been times that I needed to get a foster or one of my own dogs in right away. Maybe it was just luck, but I was able to get them in.When Dr. Richie or Dr. Sam talk to you, they talk slowly so it's easier to "soak it all in."I only wish we could get a discount for the rescue. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the service and care my dogs get.

We will be taking our business elsewhere. I’m extremely disappointed on the receptionist for the 2nd time being rude and disrespectful because of changing our time again. 1st appointment we showed up for our scheduled time and without our knowledge or being contacted by them that it was changed to a different day and time. My fiancé called this morning to confirm our appointment for this week and same thing happened, appointment was set for 11 and they blamed us that it was at 3 and would be charged if we wanted to move the appointment to another time?! This is completely unacceptable and interrupts our scheduled time for work and other obligations. Please contact the establishment first if you plan on going here, they lack the respect and understanding to people’s outside lives.

My German shepherd had a swollen lip, and we took her to petco. Mistake 1. The Petco vet looked at her for maybe 5 min or so and said, "We have no clue what it is, so here is a bunch of meds to cover all bases." So I paid for the meds and visit. Have her take the medicine aaaaaand no change(mistake 2). So, I did what I should have from the beginning. I went to DeBary Animal Clinic. I made an appointment and was taken back as soon as I arrived. The staff was fantastic, from check-in to check out. The vet and vet tech had a very good idea of what the problem was and prescribed the right amount of medicine to fix the problem. I highly recommend bringing your pets here. I know this is the only place I'll trust with my furr baby. 10/10

Very kind and compassionate staff and veterinarians. Dr. Sam is always explaining things well. The fact everything is bundled can be frustrating, but overall we're happy to have a caring vet so close to home.

This place is the worst VET i have ever delt with. The staff is even worse and Tammy is very RUDE AND INCREDIBLY disturbing in how she treats people (blonde lady at front counter) i would never have any employee work for me that was very unpleasant and unprofessional as she is what a embarrassment to Establishment I had an appointment at 10:20and I was there at 10:25 and they turned me away as my dog was suffering which they knew that because of her allergies also they would not see her or try to fit me in or work with me to fit her in to take care of her needs as she was in pain and itching and eating her paws off Due to allergies then proceeded to charge me a $25 cancelation fee which I did not cancel it and she was very rude crude and underfine this establishment is a complete joke if you care for your kids and your loved ones you will not bring your animals to this clinic They do not care about your animals they do not show any kind of sympathy to your animals they are an embarrassment and extremely overpriced they will not do anything to work with you to make things right or better then they proceeded to charge me more on my bill than what they had discussed with me please do not take your animals here this place is a joke I feel bad for anybody that takes their animals there

Love this clinic. They saw me very last minute and everyone there was awesome. The techs clearly love what they do as well as the docs.
