I took my rabbit here for years. Over the pandemic sent an email to Dr. K asking a question and was told they have no records of us being there so they couldn't help.

If you love your pet, never take him to this clinic. I realized that many people lost their pets and I left my rabbit there and she was already doing very well and even then they said she would have to have surgery. Obviously she didn't resist. I realized that what matters is not the animal but the money. today the only thing left to me were the ashes of my little rabbit

I was looking for a groomer in the area for my pet Angora Rabbit another grooming agency suggested Avian not because of thier reputation but because they treat and groom rabbits.I live nearby and always take my bunny to be groomed at a wonderful place but it is all the way in Miami!I called to make an appt for grooming and they told me at the fron tdesk that I had to make an appt to have a visit with the Dr before they could groom him. I made the appt and they took a 80.00 deposit for the visit. I asked what the most $ it would be for the grooming and was told 100.00.I had the appt and grooming and showed the groomer a photo of how I wanted my bunny cut and she said no problem, we groom all our bunnies like that. I left him and they said it would be a couple of hours and thehy would cal me when he was ready. More than 5 hrs later I had to call them to see what was taking so long and they said he was ready! They then charged me 80.00 for appt with DR and $145.00 for the grooming!!! I told them I was told that it would only be 100 at the most and the receptionist replied that girl that told you doesnt know!So I paid and when I got home and took him out of his carrier he was not groomed anything at all like the photo! They never trimmed his tail or facial area and cut all the fur off paws and legs which were supposed to be booties left on ! He looks like a rat with a giean head and tail!I now have to spend additional monies on finding and taking him to another groomer or back to Miami! Bunnyland in Miami is the Best Place for grooming , purchasing and will help and advise with any issues you may have!I called and let the office know and asked to speak to a manager. I also sent photos of the photo I showed the groomer and also the way they cut him. She said a manager would call me within 48 hours! Now a week later and had to call and text over and over, being put on hold , hung up on after waiting on hold and finally when reaching someone I got the same answer that a nanager would call me AGAIN! I am so very frustrated at this point and will repoist this to my CC service! Not once did they offer any solution or even have me bring him back in! I will save the photos for the CC company! My bunny has also been very skittish since he has been there! This splace takes total advantage because they are the only place in town that does exotics! On a good note , Dr Baldwin was very gentle and nice while examining my bunny! But the office staff is not friendly and does not have any idea how to handle issues!

I have made a 1 star review years ago due to the front desk wasting my time and gas driving 2 hours from Palm Bay to get my 2 rabbits vaccinated only to find that it was the wrong day.I’m making one today as they have charged me $160 deposit to get 2 rabbits vaccinated. My appointment was Nov 18. One of them got sick and I called 10 days ahead of the appointment to cancel and was promised a refund. Fast forward to February I am still charged the deposit. At this point I’m not even going to call them anymore, I’m just going to call CareCredit to dispute.

Good, but expensive. Just spent $560 on a lovebird that cost $85. I couldn't even afford the x-rays. I felt as ridiculous as the man that bought a koi fish to this place. Sometimes, we just need to let nature take its course.

If you love your pet like one of the family then this is not the place for you. I took my ferret in to be checked out paid for all the things the vet said he needed plus a consultation fee.Now a few months later my ferret gets fleas. I call them. I'm told to email the vet that Lu (my ferret) needs a prescription for flea meds and that the vet will then call in the prescription. I was told I would have it in 24hours. That never happened. Mind you ferrets are small so you can't just use any flea meds on them. I call back I'm told the doctor isn't in to send another email. I do that. No response again. I call again I'm told to call back that the Dr. Is in emergency surgery. This continues it's been 2 WEEKS!!! Lu is suffering and when I call back again very upset and complaining I'm told that if I want my ferret to be seen by a different doctor for a prescription at their practice I can pay another consultation fee and then they can give them the prescription. So obviously this place wants your money and nothing else. So disgusted by their overall attitude and service.

I can not say enough GOOD things about Broward Avian, the staff, Dr. Balwin in particular, and the care they have ALL provided and shown our son's bearded dragon. They are simply the best for any pet, and we can not recommend and thank them enough as does our boy, "Lemmy" the lizard.

If I could, it would be 0 stars. They try and kill animals here. I should have read the reviews on yelp.If you love your pet, do not use Broward Avian & Exotic Animal Hospital. I should’ve read the yelp reviews before I went there. There’s 80, 1 star reviews.I should’ve known it was bad when they don’t see you without putting down a deposit to hold your appt.Any “good” vet knows that small animals are afraid of being low to the ground. They put my pet in her carrier on the ground. I kept watching her just on the ground and people walking around her. Cruel to even think of now. Then the vet, Dr. Baldwin man handles her. Puts her on her back. Again, any “good” vet knows that guinea pigs can’t go on their back.Does x-rays and in the x-ray you see a nurse holding down her head. Cruel again!!!Dr. Baldwin brings me in a room and tells me there’s bad news. My guinea pig has pneumonia and cancer. She shows me an x-ray which looks like dust particles. No tumor to be found but still telling me she has metastatic cancer. It is untreatable but let’s do a bee treatment where she gets stung and it will decrease the tumor possibly. It cost $120 a treatment and you must do it once a week for a month then every other week after. However, it may not change the outcome. She has six months to live give or take. The vet then gives her prednisone which made my guinea pig lethargic and not eat. That is horrible for a guinea pig. They must constantly eat or they can suffer from GI statis. I didn’t sleep that night, and I cried all night thinking that my pig was going to die of cancer in six months or less. Thank God I went for a second opinion, and found out that she was misdiagnosed due to negligence from the other vet. If she had stayed on the prednisone, she would’ve been dead within a week because any “good” vet knows you need to clear the infection before you give an animal a steroid that compromises their immune system. It turns out my pet is perfectly fine!!! No cancer at all. She has bronchitis and pneumonia, which is being treated.STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS VET!!! Read the yelp reviews before you ever go here. These people are telling you like it is. This place is all about money and will find reasons to make you pay without helping your babies. They are killing people’s pets and they don’t care. It’s a business for them.

This place is a joke.. made an appointment for my bird. They asked for $100 deposit over the phone, okay no problem. The next day, they call about an hour before the appointment time and informed me the doctor was sick and not available to see the bird today, but I should continue to come in and have him seen, have blood work and get antibiotics. I then said let me get that right you want me to pay hundreds of dollars and I don't even get to see the doctor?? The woman Sherry over the phone said I was yelling at her which I wasn't telling at all. She then screamed we all been here 30 years we know what we're doing. But you're not the doctor. She then said don't come here we don't want to see your bird get a refund click and hung up on me. ? Wow I am so glad I didn't go there. With all the horrible reviews. I should have read them before making an appointment. Lesson learned. Don't bring your birds here.. unless u want to pay for a technician or receptionist to help your bird. They just want your money!!!

The staff and Dr. Madrigal were excellent, accommodating and passionate with what they do. My little chinchilla was treated like a King his GI issues are getting better and unfortunately his teeth’s are not great but Dr. M has a plan to get through it. Thank you guys so much for what you do
