They are so nice to me

I am writing this review as a longtime local healthcare provider. I am DISGUSTED with the lack of caring and professionality that this pharmacy manager has displayed towards this community. I have had a number of patients not receiving their medications... and when they go to the pharmacy, the pharmacists do not even address it because the manager is deleting the ones that are also available over the counter (or prescription meds that they don't have in stock) because it "saves him and his staff time." He states that the providers "should know" that these products are over the counter.
Two things are wrong with this...
1) Alot of our patients have coverage through their insurance or through an HSA and these products can be applied to their deductibles.
2) He doesn't get to decide what the patient does and does not get... the provider and the insurance company hash that out.
What's worse, he admitted to my staff while on speaker phone for me to hear that he simply tells the patient that "they never received the order" from providers.
I've never had to leave a review like this in 15 years of practicing. There are alot of things that happen and are not executed as desired from the time we send a medication that is in our patient's best interest to the pharmacy ... and insurance is usually to blame, but NEVER have I had to deal with a pharmacy manager who has the audacity to delete orders, tell the patient we never sent a med, and then turn around and tell my staff that "your provider should know." Apparently, there's alot that this manager does not know and my staff is going to make sure that corporate informs him.

The CVS store I go to is at Hillsboro and powerline. They are always on time. They are convenient. They are professional. They are always willing to work with me. I needed a prescription the other day. It was an emergency situation and they filled it in record time. I would recommend anyone going to the CVS to have their prescriptions filled.

I ran out of a new medicine, so I went to the CVS pharmacy at Target tonight to see if I could get a refill. I was nice and polite to the attendant (blond guy in his late 30s or early 40s), but he treated me so badly for no reason. I misunderstood something he said, so he rolled his eyes and left me there when I was trying to ask him a question. He decided to refill the medicine which was nice, but then he came back and scolded me for not refilling my prescription earlier. I asked him why he was treating me that way, and in a very despising manner, he said that I have to understand that they are overworked at the pharmacy. Well, he is telling that to a teacher who is overworked and underpaid, so should I mistreat him as well? I was so nervous that I left Target and cried. I asked myself if I was mistreated that way because of my accent (as this is becoming a norm in the U.S, to treat someone badly for being from another country) or just because he is a nasty human being. If he is the pharmacist, he needs to go back to school and take a class on how to become a better human being...some schools are already teaching that. (The humanization of healthcare is a set of behaviors and practices that aim to improve the quality of healthcare by making it more respectful, understanding, and patient-centered. It involves creating a more human-centric environment where patients, their caregivers, and healthcare professionals are all considered important stakeholders in the care process).

I had the best experience with the Pharmacy person, Jarita Johnson, the Pharmacy Manager! She was kind, found the medication in stock that the other CVS down the street told me was not longer in production. She was Terrific! I will be going to this CVS from now on! Her attitude was so pleasant, and. helpful.

Everyone is always very nice at this CVS, but Beth is outstanding - all the time. She knows everything, can figure out any problem or quirky issue, seems to be able to juggle everything at once, yet manages to do all of this in a friendly and caring way.

The three employees who work behind the CVS counter are so rude and blame the customers for their prescription not being ready and if you ask a question they are unhelpful and will say no to whatever question you have. I am a college student trying to get my medicine and this is the most convenient CVS location for me to pick up my medicine but I hate coming to this location every time because of these workers. They should be fired.
