I was a parent at this school, it is at the bottom of the Catholic School dumpster! The principal, Lisa Dodge does not know the difference between a school with innocent little children and a truck stop! At the time, she carried herself very messy in appearance. I hope she's improved since then! The nerve of this woman to expose my innocent 3rd grade child and others to graphic inappropriate imagery of slavery in text books, and try to defend it! She stated that it was not as bad as the lynchings etc... calling my 8 year old son was lazy! The Catholic Schools wonder why they are loosing church membership & students. It's because of the almost all white (no offense, just facts) staff they employ that think the way this woman does! I wouldn't send my dog, to this school! If you are a parent, and think it's ok to defend emotional abuse of children, and expose them to inappropriate, disgusting, and graphic imagery of slavery in 3rd grade textbooks, you are just as sick as she is!

Anyone considering this school should read and rely on the reviews of the parents whose children attended this school instead of the reviews of the schools' employees who have a financial interest in the school and whose job might be at risk. I find it almost comical that an employee waited 6 years to give a juvenile, pandering review and coincidently did it at a time where the school's reputation is being challenged. I'm embarrassed for this person. It reads like the Yelp equivalent of a hostage video script. Blink twice if you need to be rescued. My family attended St Ambrose for 15 years. For the last year my daughter was constantly harassed by a student and his mother who volunteers there. Principal dodge did nothing to stop it. After repeatedly reporting these matters to principal dodge, she lied about her ability to act on them, mischaracterized them and ultimately humiliated our daughter by throwing her out of the school over Christmas vacation. Months later, it appears as though this volunteer parent who harassed our daughter is cyber stalking our daughter. Based on my experiences, I don't feel that St Ambrose provides a safe environment, and I don't feel that principal dodge can effectively run this school. If you are committed to attending a local Catholic school you should consider St Coleman or St Joan of Arc. They have more to offer.

My daughter, my nephew and now at last my niece (11 yrs old) went to this school since kindergarten now she was in 5th and after almost 15 yrs in total my niece has been harassed and bullied by a classmate for months and documenting it to the office. And his parent has been stalking my niece's social media. After documenting all The principal did nothing; instead withdrew my niece which has NOOOOO bad behavior was always polite and RESPECTED ALL HER CLASSMATES, she was loved by all her friends. All happened in the school inside the classroom, teacher did nothing to solve the issue NOR the principal. Instead decided to withdraw the VICTIM!!!!!!! HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU KEEP A CLASSMATE WHO BULLIES ANOTHER CHILD INTHE SCHOOL? Save yourselves from that asylum. I am so disgusted to tell people my daughter actually graduated middle school there. Unfortunately I have to chose at least 1 star but this school after what they had done to my niece deserves ZERO star!

St. Ambrose is a small school with a BIG heart. The students, parents, staff, and Principal make St. Ambrose feel like a family and a home away from home for many of us.I have worked at St. Ambrose for 6 years as the Physical Education Teacher and Director of Athletics. In my 6 years I have coached our sports teams, volunteered at events such as our Carnival and Fish Fry, and been the MC and costume judge for our Halloween Trunk or Treat. I've done a million other things too!Classes at St. Ambrose are small so I have the pleasure of getting to know each and every student in our school. I also get to meet and say hello to their parents, grandparents, and pets in the carline each morning and afternoon! The teachers and staff, or my co-workers, are caring and easy to work with. They've also become great friends and we share a mutual passion for what we do and the students we teach! Our Principal is the best in the business. She is truly a pleasure to work for and always makes us feel appreciated. She keeps our students and school safe, supports us as educators, and always goes above and beyond.I could probably work at plenty of other schools but the people at St. Ambrose are what bring me back each year. I've taught some of the most incredible students, made lasting friendships with our staff and parents, and have so many wonderful memories. St. Ambrose is home for me and truly is a small school with a BIG heart!

I would encourage anyone considering St Ambrose for their child's education to visit stambrosecatholicschool.…. The section on Cyber Bullying should be particularly disturbing. We have been going to St Ambrose for 15 years. As defined by the St Ambrose handbook, my child was harassed and bullied by a student and his parent who volunteers at the school for over a year. In addition, the same volunteer parent spread vicious, disgusting lies about our family throughout the school and during school functions which principal dodge admitted to hearing herself, but did nothing about and claimed it was "not in the schools purview". After documenting each incident with principal dodge, she lied about her ability to act on them, mischaracterized them and did nothing to solve the problem. Once principal dodge was caught lying and her integrity was under attack, she withdrew our daughter from the school during the Christmas vacation. My daughter had no disciplinary issues, was no threat to the school and posed no danger, yet was thrown out of St Ambrose hastily, separated from friends she has had most of her life, teachers she adored and resulted in a major disruption in her education. I feel that what principal dodge did was disgraceful and cowardly.Five months after we moved on, the volunteer parent who harassed our daughter appears to be stalking our daughter on social media. In my opinion, this school and principal dodge are more concerned with their personal reputation and will sacrifice the education, safety, and wellbeing of the students to protect themselves.

Our daughter has attended St. Ambrose School since Pre-K 3 and has just completed 1st grade. She has had extraordinary teachers that have done an incredible job, all while under the pressure of ever changing protocols of the pandemic. The school leadership and staff have also gone above and beyond communicating and pivoting to all of the changing dynamics. My daughter has excelled in her reading and math this year, as well as being instilled with faith in a way that has been a tremendous comfort. We are so grateful that we have been able to be a part of this school's community.

Wonderfully school, great staff, great teachers.I made the best decision to enroll both of my kids atSt Ambrose. Ms. Georgia, Monica and Ms Joanne are truly care about the kids they are A plus teachers. Awesome teachers like them are not easy to find and because of them specially Ms Georgia my daughter was in Pre-K I transferred my son there the same year in the middle of 5th grade so Anyone who wants to deal with a nice and safe environment for your kids from my experience this is the best school ever specially with the Pre-k.

This school has been such a blessing! I have nothing but wonderful things to say and highly recommend to everyone!! My son has grown so much spiritually, educationally, and socially. He started with VPK and now is about to go into first grade. The whole staff is so caring and really goes above and beyond. They offer smaller class sizes so the students are recognized individually and receive the help and attention they need and deserve. Ms Dodge (the principal) & Ms Lauren (office manager) do an incredible job of keeping everything organized and top tier. Sending him to Saint Ambrose is by far the best decision I've made as a parent.

This school is awesome but online learning is too hard for kids who have all been out of school since last March and all summer due to covid-19 . This is a private school and needs to be open like most private schools are open currently. It’s nearly impossible for a first grader to learn online when there are 21 kids talking and raising their hands at the same time and they get discouraged when they are not called upon .Also with parents having to go to work this makes it so hard and I feel like we are paying for this service and 1st grade is the foundation of the rest of their school lives .So please open the school !

This school was so bad they always care more about the money more than the students. The teachers falsely accuse students of doing things and don’t try to figure out the problem. And I know that for a fact because I was here since 1st grade and left before 7 and I’m happy. But the teaching of religion is very good and weakly masses every Wednesday. Thank you for taking you time to read.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this school is! It is truly a blessing that we get to send our children here. The principal and teachers are so caring and amazing . The classes are small enough that they get to know each child individually and are able to tune in to their strengths and weaknesses, yet big enough for the kids to have a diverse group of friends. The other parents are friendly and welcoming and not fake or intimidating, which is a huge bonus!! There are tons of fun activities, sports and clubs for the kids and families to participate in. My kids absolutely love it here and are well ahead both academically and socially of their friends who attend other schools. They are also extremely focused on the safety of the campus and have numerous precautionary measures in place. I feel that my kids are well protected at all times. Like I said earlier, this school has been a blessing for my family!
