Today I experienced RACIAL profiling for the 1st time in my 39 years of living . Sadly enough it occurred at the 4071 W. Atlantic Ave branch of Citibank . I arrived there at 1:20 pm today to deposit my payroll check and was told ( mid transaction ) to gather my things and to go over to the next tellers window because the teller that was waiting on me wanted to instead serve the Caucasian customer behind me. After this ordeal , I was rudely told that I couldn't "cash " the payroll check that listed my government name ( AFTER showing my drivers license, work ID and social security card) . The manager later insisted that this was "policy" and the conversation became very heated after I asked her to see a copy of this alleged policy . She replied with " I don't have to show it to you ". I am planning to expeditiously work along with the payroll department and HR [at my agency that I help oversee ] and possibly find a more suitable banking institution. Case & point , banks shouldn't have to potentially lose the business of seven figure corporate account holders due to incompetent , culturally insensitive team members . I called this branch today to see if I could get a document notarized. They did not pick up and the Citi automated phone system is not good. However, a few minutes later I got a call from Patricia at the branch. She told me that they saw a missed call and wanted to follow up. I told her what I needed and she told me to come on in. Done in 30 seconds. That's incredible service! Go Patricia!

Citi needs to close this branch ASAP. Diego and the entire crew are tarnishing the brands name. The reviews are consistent and someone needs to do something before the poor treatment goes viral one day and then damage control mode will be necessary. I was surprised to have such a low rent experience at a worldwide bank.

Customer service here was terrible!!! The bank made an error and the manager instead of being apologetic and fixing the issues was rude and unprofessional! And told me if I didn't like the service to close my accounts!!

The worst! Poor service. Lowest rates. Highest fees. Citigold help was worthless and only interested in pushing their high cost/low yield products. Always remember Citibank was at the heart of the mortgage bundle disaster.

Citibank is by far the worst bank. I have a home equity line with them their marketing is sending me promos every 2 weeks that make no sense have written to CEO office to express my concerns only to get robotic responses with non logical resultions. I paid off my loan and closed my Citibank accounts and they messed up my credit card billing by making my check take 10 days to clear executive response team is horrible they do a poor job of following up will probably hire a lawyer to look at the marketing they use that is detrimental to many retired or young folks who depend on every check to make ends meet Citibank headquarters should be investigated and their legal department should do an internal audit of their marketing and be more accecible to customer with concerns. Will never ever go into a Citibank again due to the worst and most insulting customer service across all channels.
