Citi Bank Atlantic Blvd, Delray Beach, FL
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Citibank location on May 2, 2025, between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. I came in with a few checks seeking basic banking service and assistance with opening an account. Despite the branch being relatively empty with no clients waiting for an account specialist, I was denied service by the manager. This is highly unprofessional—no bank should refuse service to someone attempting to do business with them.
To make matters worse, I was threatened during my visit, and an incident occurred which resulted in the police being called. The manager on duty, a woman whose name I was not given, was extremely rude, dismissive, and clearly not suited for a role in customer service or management. Her behavior and attitude were unacceptable.
This is, by far, the worst banking experience I’ve ever had. I’ve never had issues like this at any other financial institution. Citibank should seriously reconsider the leadership and customer service standards at this location. I strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere—this bank is run by people who appear to care more about exercising personal control than providing quality service

Well, this branch is in a run down shopping center, the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Especially PATRICIA!!
PATRICIA went above and beyond to help me close out my mom’s account when she died very suddenly. Originally, I was contacted by Citibank’s estate and benefits but it was such a convoluted process. I decided to walk into my local branch and I’m so glad I did!
PATRICIA went out of her way to ensure I understood why they required the documents they did and took excellent care of me!

I don’t know what to do with this situation.i been calling for a month to ask for a new card after cancel mine for fraud and they said is in the mail and I went there on they branch on Atlantic ave about four times and still not get a new card.even talk to manager and promised I will get by next day and another week past.went there again and they even charged me UPS for overnight delivery and been 3 days nothing.i think I have to close my account and change bank

I feel so bad for the manager on 1/2/24. None of the tellers came in for work today. Guests were obviously upset and for most she really couldn’t help unfortunately. Most were upset, and probably rightly, but she did her very best to inform and help where she could. That said, she was able to help me out of a jam and I appreciate her. Leaders in the service industry who are left in those situations have it the toughest this time of year. As someone who’s been in a similar situation leading restaurants I know how terrible of a day these ones can be. She was doing everything she could in the face of lord of negativity. Kudos to you ma’am. Reddish haired nice lady. Deserves a raise!

Absolutely horrible branch. The tellers are combative and nasty. I can believe the previous reviewer who said that the tellers have biases and they treat some customers differently than others. We were told that they require a social security number to make withdrawals (these rules must be followed), but when we withdrew our entire balance we were not asked for a social security number. So why do you say you enforce this rule all of the time but then don't do it all of the time. Really arrogant, nasty, and inconsistent people. Take your business elsewhere. This Citi has issues. The last 6 times in two months I could not use the ATM. When I approached a manager to help me, I left after being called a liar...and I am a customer!

Today I experienced RACIAL profiling for the 1st time in my 39 years of living .Sadly enough it occurred at the 4071 W. Atlantic Ave branch of Citibank .I arrived there at 1:20 pm today to deposit my payroll check and was told ( mid transaction ) to gather my things and to go over to the next tellers window because the teller that was waiting on me wanted to instead serve the Caucasian customer behind me.After this first ordeal , I was rudely told that I couldn’t “cash “ the payroll check that clearly listed my government name ( this was AFTER showing my drivers license, work ID and social security card) . The manager later insisted that this was “policy” and the conversation became very heated after I asked her to see a copy of this alleged policy . She replied with “ I don’t have to show it to you “?.I am planning to expeditiously work along with the payroll department and HR [at my agency that I oversee ] and possibly find a more suitable banking institution.Case & point , banks shouldn’t have to potentially lose the business of seven figure corporate account holders due to incompetent , culturally insensitive team members .Ashli( Director of Mobile Response @ South County Mental Health for ALL sites in the state of Florida )
