I was fortunate to stay at the Colony Hotel during Hurricane Milton . It is such a Gem ? with its Unique Historic pedigree since 1929 it is on the National Trust for Historic Preservation .
The location is perfect and less than half mile away you have hourly shuttles to the exclusive private Cabana Club directly on the beach . There are Cabanas , a lovely restaurant area the food is very very good . A very large Infinity pool and Spa like atmosphere exists while preserving the integrity of old florida charm it's so relaxing .
I couldn't get enough of the lobby it's Lily P vibrancy and architecture with fun whimsical treasures everywhere you look , like the original phone system !
The Art and Chandeliers are so great mixed in with wicker baskets full of Sea shells. There are shops and a complimentary Continental breakfast don't miss the fresh baked hot muffins .
The owner Hillary is so lovely and is often conversing with guests to ensure they are having a wonderful stay . Definitely will return as soon as I'm able. The Hotel is Iconic yet cozy the rooms are lovely as well and the staff is so kind .
Nearby activities: It's in the center of everything and Cabana Club is on the Beach ⛱️ ?

Worst weekend trip of my life! This hotel
Has no amenities and lied about pool and cabanas. The pool is not on site and you CANNOT get a cabana if you are not a paying member of the club. The only think to do at this hotel is walk to a restaurant and walk back. I wish I did not waste my time and money for such a dull weekend that should have been a retreat!

This is an old hotel with a lot of South Florida charm. It was very hot when I visited and the air conditioning in the room is loud and doesn't work that well. The beach club is one of my favorite places ever. So relaxing. They even have a rule that you can't talk on your phone there which I thought was lovely. You can't beat the location.
Walkability: Located right in downtown Delray Beach, walkable to restaurants, bars, shops, and the beach.
Food and drinks: Highly recommend Muscle Beach next door for amazing seafood.

The 30's style hotel is very nice, we were warmly welcomed, the hotel is a splash of color, the old wooden furniture and floors are very nice. For breakfast there were always 3 types of muffins, juice and coffee and cornflakes.Rooms: In the style of the 30s with wooden floors, real wooden furniture, very nice, colorful, the location was very good, the air conditioning worked, 1 star deduction: unfortunately you had to pay an extra $15 per day for the refrigerator, which is what every motel has today small refrigerator is included

Love this place. You can't beat the location. Right in the center of downtown delray, on Atlantic Ave halfway between the beach(A1A), and Swinton. Large free parking lot for hotel guests right behind the hotel. Pretty good free continental breakfast, and you get free access to their private beach club (which has a large outdoor pool, cabanas, and nice outdoor Cafe where you can get a bite and drink). They even have a free shuttle to and from the club if you want... we just drive there and park in the lot (free). Great large lobby with great themed decor. A bar and patio with live entertainment at night on the weekends. Absolutely beautiful. Service staff is always friendly and accommodating. Note that since this is a historical hotel, the rooms are not super modern, but they are very nice, and they are decorated to match the feel of the hotel. Whenever we visit delray, we always stay here. Can't beat it.Nearby activities: Everything (restaurants, beach, cool late night hangouts... really everything) is within walking distance. Whenever we go, we park our car in their free parking lot, and forget it. We walk to Everything in the area. The best location.
