Please be careful! I brought my cockapoo for a grooming and had to take him to my vet twice since(once the same day) as he was shaking his head furiously and not eating after the grooming and not acting his usual active self!My vet indicated there was “redness and bruising” in his R ear as a result of the “plucking of his hair” in the outer canalAnd gave him ear drops and painMeds but needed to return since it ended up becoming infected and needing stronger medsPlease protect your dogs and go elsewhere post:My follow up message to the response below! My dog always has the inner ear canal hair plucked as part of his grooming but never the outer ear where there was evidence of “trauma”(redness and bruising in outer canal) as per my VetI wanted to take him to my vet to be checked out since I lost trust at that point and the groomer said there might be an infection she’s not a medical Dr) and said seeing a vet could wait-which ended up being untrue and a visit to a Vet imminent. She said that it’s ok to waitI am only repeating what my Vet said and not my own diagnosis! I am so disheartened that this grooming practice did not take responsibility and acted defensive instead of concern! My vet was willing to speak to their Vet to discuss the case but Dr was not interested.

Went to see the vet as a new Patient for my small dog. I suspected she was losing her hearing. The doctor came in. He was a nice guy and seemed very thorough. I actually liked him and thought he was thorough. He checked my dogs ears, gave me a medication for her ears to use twice a day. The bill arrives , they charge 3% to use a debt or cc, and charged me $20 for “plucking her ears”!? Really? He pulled 2 hairs out to see in her tiny ears. Her ears were not at all hairy and that was no plucking.I guess his bill wasn’t high enough! This is why so many dogs are in shelters because vets are now salesman and focus is to increase the bill which is really disturbing… that $20 lost me which is totally shameful.Ahh ..sorry don’t pad the bill and have clients have to bring it to your attention that your fee is out of line. Again this is why so many poor animals are in shelters!

Dr. Posner is the greatest I’ve been coming to him for 6 years now with both of my dogs. They are caring and reasonably priced. I always recommend west ave to friends that are new to the area.

We've been taking our pets to Dr. Posner since 2017! He is the sweetest doctor you will ever meet. His staff are professional and very pleasant. The team takes REALLY GOOD care of your pets whether it's a small procedure like trimming nails or something more comprehensive, like dental cleaning (which I had done for my dog recently). Dr. P and his staff are very knowledgeable. I don't trust going anywhere else. The prices are amazing as well. I highly recommend them.

This Vet is awesome. He is caring funny and a great guy. He has helped me with my animals and is by far the best Vet I have found. He has a deep love for animals and you can see it the second you walk in his office.

Had my dog taken in for surgery to remove some growths on her legs. The aftercare was non-existent with zero discharge paperwork and no post-op followup from the doctor. Additionally the vet did an awful job on the stitches even to the point that when one of the sutchers were removed she was still bleeding after 2 full weeks of recovery time. Now we're stuck with a dog that has a hole in her leg, scrambling to prevent infection... Never going back here again.

Front desk staff was pretty rude. Appointment was at 11:30am but didn’t leave until 2:10pm. Called on Wednesday to cancel our Friday appointment. Was told we never had an appointment, no big deal. Thursday night get a call regarding our Friday appointment. Pretty frustrating.

Dr. Posner and his staff are amongst the most compassionate animals lovers around. They whole-heartedly care for their patients… it’s never a struggle to get my dogs to go the vet!

10/10 professional. You won’t find a vet that cares more about your animals. This is my second visit with my cat and i’ve had nothing but a positive experience here. You’re not here to take all your money and run. They’re here to make your pets life better.

Dr. Posner and his staff were extremely prompt, professional, and personable. I brought my grandparent’s dog in for a skin condition and Dr. Posner was quick to administer a treatment for the pup (within minutes of being seen!). I am totally impressed by this offices’ ability to work with my grandparents regarding finances and payment plans, as most hospitals send you a hefty bill and call it a day. They truly care about what they do and you can tell as soon as you walk in the doors. Thank you Dr. Posner and staff on behalf of myself, my grandparents, and their pup! Quality animal care in a quick visit!
