We went last night (October 28, 2025 around 5pm) with a worker who was wearing large framed glasses was extremely rude to my family. My husband and I took our 2 year old son to BAB for the first time and were looking at the stuffies by the window (diagonal to the stuffing machine), we were trying to get him excited about the experience when we heard the machine turn on so we walked closer (about 10-12’ away from the machine just close enough my son could see) when the worker snapped at my husband who was already behind the black line, and myself (I was also holding my son so it’s not like he was running up to the family that she was serving). We explained that we just wanted to show him how they build the bears, at this point she doubled down to not come any closer (again not even at the black line) After this interaction we put our multiple bears down and left the store.

I took my daughter to do her birthday bear last week and they were cash only I ended up losing 8 dollars in atm fees on top of that the sales lady names Lori had a attitude abd was rude because I was upset about the cash thing I wasn’t able to use my gift card or coupon I’m a single mom and drove 45 mins to give my baby girl her day and build a bear wasn’t it I’ve been going to build a bear since I was little and this was the worst experience won’t me going back to this store

Was a very bad experience took my granddaughter to get her birthday bear But was told they only take cash and In the world we live in who carry cash anymore and we are BAB members we couldn't use that either The employees didn't care that they was losing customers said the whole area lost Internet but every store around them was able to take credit or debit So sfter strapping up change and finding a ATM was able to get her bear But will not be going back to this store

Wholeheartedly cherish and will forever remember our Birthday experience at BAB, Destin. Clarissa and Zeke were so welcoming, attentive and sweet to all of us from literal arrival into the store ‘til check- out—Absolutely 100% recommend making special memories at this location.

Took my kiddo in for her first BaB experience and we had a great time. The two ladies working last night were friendly and helpful and made my girl feel super special. She is very happy with her new princess axolotl.

My girls went in the store today get a plushie and came out weirded out by an employee. The girls stuffing the bear complimented my daughters shirt ( which is great, it was a boost for her ) but when they began talking about pokemon the employee tells the girls how her favorite character is Sylveon because its trans and supports the LGBTQ+ community. I spoke with the manager and got a “ we will have a talk “ … I pushed further and manager was very quiet. I said its weird pushing ideology onto kids that are not near and adult and was told “thats not pushing ideology” - I said can we agree its not appropriate for an adult to even be bringing things like that up to kids that are there trying to make a stuffed animal? And was told again “there will be a discussion”

I had an amazing experience with the manager at build a bear her name is miss Lori and she was extremely cooperative and willing to stay later than closing and even said she would drop it off where they were eating I would definitely recommend shopping here because the hospitality is a 10/10 thank you miss Lori you are very kind!

My son has loved his for years, this company has quality products, definitely better than any stuff animal he has ever had. I will be getting him more when he gets older if he still wants it just to support this company

Place was great for my granddaughter. The young ladies that work there seem a bit uptight. Lily cropdusted me, not how i would treat guests. Im posting her picture so you can avoid her gas.

Had a wonderful experience with our daughter to make her first build a bear. Our first time here with our son last year wasn’t pleasant, but this experience was beyond great. Savannah did an AWESOME job. We were so grateful!!!!

The lady that stuffed the animals threw away something important to my grand daughters that was supposed to go inside of the toys. It really upset everyone because my grand daughters have had these their entire lives. She turned a sentimental and special moment into a very bad day. This wasn’t the memory anyone wanted.

Went today for my two year olds birthday. We did not get the birthday bear as they picked other animals but the lady asked if we were there for any reason and I told her it was their birthday. She just said okay and continued to go to other customers. Went to stuff the bears and we were also using this a memorable way to separate from her binky. When we finished the heart ceremony we asked our twins to put their binkies in the bears. The lady took their binky from them turned and threw them in the trash. I was highly disappointed as we wanted them to be able to put them in the bear as a sentimental way to part with it but ensure they still knew it was there. I feel like the employees were just lacking in experience with kids and honestly just there for the paycheck. We will not be returning to this location as this was a big disappointment especially when we were spending $75 on two bears.

I’m a local and we came here for the first time with our almost 3 year old. She was so excited and we were too!
When we walked in the store (only customers there), no one greeted us and we saw three employees huddled together in the back talking. I thought it was odd but we just browsed around for a few minutes. We approached one of the workers and said “hi! this is our first time here, could someone help us with what to do?” And she told us “I’ll be with you in a minute,” and acted like it was a huge bother to her that we asked for help. She went back to talking with the other two employees and we awkwardly walked around/looked around for a while. She never came back to talk to us nor did any other employee. It was a very off-putting and unfriendly mood, so we eventually just left. It was a very strange experience. It seems like the kind of place where employees should be excited to help kids and families, but it was exactly the opposite.
