Henderson Beach State Park is a beautiful and serene public beach with miles of pretty white sand and emerald green, divine blue water. It is a lovely state park with very nice facilities, including restrooms, picnic tables, and vending machines. There is plenty of parking, and lifeguards and police patrol occasionally, which is reassuring. The cost is $6 per vehicle for the day. A downside can be long lines and terrible traffic to get in, especially on weekends, sometimes causing a wait of 45 minutes. The water can also get choppy, with occasional jellyfish and seaweed. Overall, it is a great, clean, and not too crowded beach, highly recommended for a swim or a packed lunch.

Beautiful park, great value Just wish there was a no fly zone above the park to prevent these helicopters from noise polluting the beautiful beaches

I’ve stayed at several state parks in Florida. This park is very well maintained. Only big issues are how crowded to beach gets in the summer and how noisy it is with helicopter tours buzzing over your head all day. I’d like to try this park in the off season.
