Made a reservation to get a car, got the confirmation number and all. Uber here to pick up the car only for a guy in the back, who stayed in the back and not come to the front desk to tell me that there's no cars available. Continued to type and looking at his computer screen not making eye contact. We stood there thinking he was looking for a solution or anything he, or the Hertz company could do..... but no. We just stood there waiting for his response until I asked if he was looking for a car or solution. His response was i already said there's was no cars available. I had to walk out of there for me not to reach over and..... that is not how you do business here or anywhere else.
Update. We walked over the very next shopping center to ENTERPRISE CAR RENTALS and got a completely different experience. Even though we didn't reserve a rental there, the young lady in the front desk welcomed us with a smile and put us in a rental within 15 minutes..

Extremely disappointed in my experience I communicated with the manager Kristen for a pick up at 1 pm I was picked up at 3:30 , I waited in the collision place and looked like a complete clown ! I was upset with her because I was very specific on the time because it was imperative for me to be on time. Kristen did not pick up the phone for me several times , I was really upset and embarrassed that I had been there hours ! Upon my arrival to hertz she was like an octopus she was doing every single thing that you can imagine. As much as I was upset with her it was not on her the drivers she had were so old and slow and she was running the entire place alone !!!! When I arrived she had a huge line and continued to be polite and try to take care of everyone even though she was drowning in work HERTZ YOU NEED TO BE BETTER !!!! This woman was juggling everyone and everything and the only person there was her !!! My one star goes for hertz !! Take care of your employees !! She should not be running an entire office alone it’s dangerous and sad to see an entire office with plenty of computers and desks and only one person working her behind off to do all of it ! I hope
She gets the help she needs Hertz is failing her miserable and she’s still there doing her absolute best even when she apologized I completely understood it was NOT HER FAULT !

Booked on Expedia. Got a call that morning as I was walking onto the plane that they had no cars. Was told I was on a waiting list and that they would call me when they got one in. I called again. They said there were 12 people on the list and I was number six. Said the airport location was bringing them cars. They would call me when it came in. FOUR days later. Trip Monday through Friday. No call from hertz. No car for my reservation…..

I have to give this location (Hurts not Hertz) 1 star since no stars is not an option... I rent cars for business all the time and this was the all-time worst rental process. Kristin called me at 7:50 am the day of my reservation and said we have no cars but you're at the top of the list (yeah right). I called back @10am and she said cars will be coming in at 12pm. I said call me when it's available. Fast forward to 1:30pm, no call, after many hassles with their automated answering machine I was able to reach a local employee. Not Kristin she never called back and was gone for the day. I relayed events that happened and told him to text when my car would be available. No call by 2:30, so my wife showed up to the office and was told we have no car for you all the cars have been rented. What? Bottom line I will never do business with Hertz, and I will recommend to the CEO of my company to take Hertz off SAP Concur as an option. You lost me and likely 1000's of customers from my company. Horrible customer service. Just awful, after I was so patient to make this work. Rent Hertz if you want to risk ruining your vacation or your company travel.

They helped me land a rental car during their busy season. Make a reservation and get there early AM to pick up your vehicle. They do run out of rides in the summer months.

I made an online reservation and was called the next day to be told that they didn’t have any cars available but might have them later that day. Then, I received a text to enter ID and CC info and headed to the shop, and there I was told that it was an automated text and they didn’t have a car for me. A lady named Christian, who had left the massage earlier, was cold and irritated when I called her back. Overall, this shop is horrible and in great need of professional management. The Hertz’s system should never have taken my reservations if it didn’t have any cars available and should never have sent a request for my information.

Made a reservation to pick up the car when arrived from ohio. got a call an hour before reservation that our car magically disappeared & there are no other cars available. Nope. Never again lol. Employee had no idea how to handle situation either.

There should be a ZERO star option! Terrible employees and terrible store at this location!! They tell us we have a car ready at 1030am, we get here and NO ONE is at the store working! We wait TWO HOURS for someone to finally show up and then he says they have no car and the fee is nonrefundable?! THEFT! DO NOT USE HERTZ!!

If I could give this 0 stars I honestly would. Very frustrated. Rented a vehicle and paid for it in full in advance. My pick up time was 4pm. The hertz app showed that my vehicle was ready for pickup so we rode over to pick up the vehicle. First off there was a note at the counter to call a number because she wasn’t at the desk. When the lady came to the front I said I was here to pick up my vehicle that it was showing it’s ready. She said I don’t have any vehicles. I told her I had a reservation and I prepaid in full. She told me again I don’t have any vehicles and none of Hertz in surrounding areas do either. She then said down at her desk and just ignore us. No offer to help and check on things, no offer for a refund. My husband proceeded to get involved and ask her questions and she was snappy and short with him and said corporate does this to us all the time. They rent vehicles for people and take their money. Now I am out over $600 and there is no vehicle for a reservation that I have.

Worst hertz location, worst rental car company ever, if I could give a zero I would!
They allow you to reserve and pre-pay a car online, but then they call and say they have no cars… they Can’t tell you when you’ll have a car or if you’ll ever have a car and can’t tell you how they’re gonna compensate you what a joke!
Put me on a waiting list of over 25 people, so I ask how do you over book by 25 or more cars?
If you ask them to explain how they keep allowing this to happen they just hang up on you.
800 hertz customer service is equally worthless, they just offer to cancel your reservation.
Hertz do us all a favor and read the reviews here and just close this Destin emerald coast location, it’s a disgrace!!
