As Destin locals, we had the best experience shopping here at Sunset Shoes. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and patient with me as I was trying to figure out which shoe felt the best and would be the best for me. Huge selection of shoes and clothes and I will definitely be back to return shopping.

When I visited Sunset Shoes, I encountered a disturbing experience with a worker named Jovi. From the moment I walked in, Jovi treated me differently than other customers—watching me closely, speaking with a harsh tone, and offering no assistance while being noticeably friendly and helpful to others. The difference in treatment felt racially motivated, as there was no other clear reason for the disrespect I received. It was uncomfortable, disheartening, and left me feeling unwelcome and unfairly judged. No one should be made to feel that way because of their race, especially in a public space meant for all customers.

I believe the owner or manager should seriously consider providing proper customer service training to the staff. During my visit, I noticed that some employees selectively greeted and assisted customers, which felt unprofessional and discriminatory. One staff member in particular, named Mia, did not acknowledge me or offer any help, yet she warmly greeted others who shared her skin tone. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and gives the impression of bias or racism.
It’s also concerning that several other reviews mention similar issues with the staff’s attitude and conduct. If you care about your business and customer experience, I strongly urge you to address this problem. Professionalism, respect, and equal treatment should be the standard for everyone who walks through your doors.

They have a great selection of shoes! Hoka, On, Brooks, Birkenstock and others as well. I go here mainly for the variety of Hokas they offer. Since they moved locations they have way more space and much more to choose from.

I just purchased a pair of Hoka today on the phone. The sales person “Jovi” was extremely helpful and efficient. She checked all the color and sizes for me. She even checked at the different store for availability. I couldn’t have had a better experience here at Sunset Shoes. They offer military and first responders discount. This is our second time purchase our Hoka here and we will definitely come back. Thank you Jovi for your patience and being a very helpful saleswoman.

While on vacation we visited this wonderful store and Cecilia was fabulous . She was very friendly and helped us find multiple pairs of shoes and was so nice and engaging in our shopping experience ,She was very knowledgeable of all different brands and fits and offered great options, it was a great experience
