Greeted by a lovely woman with a great attitude and sense of humor. The place is an older establishment that is very clean, room has coffee maker, fridge, microwave. Coffee and breakfast in the lobby. Safe place, will definitely go back! This is not the Hilton, if you're looking for luxury and a gym, go somewhere else. If you're looking for a great clean safe place to stay while exploring the area, that is budget friendly, book this place

I give the hotel 1/10 and It's purely a disgrace to hotels in general. They gave me and my family member a smoking room and a roach infested unit at best. This place needs to be shut down for health concerns. I would recommend to stay at VILLAGE INN AND SUITS just 8 mins away! This place needs to be shut down immediately. There are questionable characters also lurking in this facility and it felt sketchy. I will take the proper channels to have this facility truly investigated.Rooms: dirty beyond reproach!Safety: no existent!

Walked into our room sawtwo cockroaches crawling on the counter that was it for us. The girl at the desk didn’t seem concerned or surprised said she wouldn’t give us refund but would switch rooms. we said if there are cockroaches in sight they are everywhere. Then she says this is Florida. We left Too bad it is in a great location. But do not stay here

Awesome bang for the buck!I checked in close to midnight and the desk clerk had no information for my reservation on file. Turns out, it was my fault; I had booked the wrong week. Alisha was very helpful and pleasant, getting me set up with the same days at a very affordable rate (you can't beat the prices for the location and I've stayed in the Jade East, Four Points, etc.). She got me the same room, answered all of my questions, and made sure I was set up with the customer support number for Expedia, with her name as a reference for verification. I brought my Harley down and the staff was happy to let me park it under the entrance car port, next to the benches (out of the way, but out of the weather).Later, I had to get an ice bucket. Taylor was awesome in tracking one down for me. She was very friendly and knew her stuff. The next day, I happened to meet the managers, who were sitting in one of the benches out front next to my bike. We had a great conversation. They are very down-to-earth people. The rooms are clean. The owners donate their outdated furniture to the community for free. The water is hot. There are no bugs or nonworking equipment. For under $100 a night across the street from Destin Harbor, you cannot ask for anything more. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests and their rooms are exactly what you need for an awesome beach vacation. Places like this make me miss working in the harbor and living down here because it reminds me that businesses can still be ran by authentic, good-natured people.Go forth, and strike down the Darkness,JonathanEarlier today, I happened to

The stay was what I expected. Good location but sub par quality for a hotel or inn. only real complain was that I brought my dog, paid the $25 plus tax pet deposit (that you do not get back) and was later charged a second pet fee because "the housekeeping staff said it must have been two dogs because there was a lot of dog hair." ok, dumb but okay. was not reimbursed for this as apparently there is a distinction between acceptable amount of dog hair (1 dog fee=$25 plus tax) and double charge you for whatever they deem is more than 1 dog's worth of dog hair ( 2 dog fee=$50 plus tax). Things they don't tell you and dont take accountability for. Would not take them for their word on prices as they clearly charge you for whatever they feel is necessary. mind you, my pet broke nothing, destroyed nothing and we left no mess at all aside from some expected dog fur, which I gladly paid the initial fee for. would not stay again as I am not sure what other random fees I would be charged based on their housekeeping having free range to suggest whatever charges the front desk should increase and apply. 1/5 stars,

So, I don't usually write reviews unless I'm really moved by the quality of the product or services I've received, for better or worse. But that happened for me today, so, I must write this review. My wife and I arrived at the Village Inn on 8/25/2023 about 3:40pmto check-in for our four days stay. The Manager took my I.D and credit card to start the check-in process. She then assigned us toroom 225. When approaching the room, we noticed the window, was broken in several places and being held together by tape. Iused the key card to open the door and could smell a bad odor in the room. I didn't even want to walk into the room, let alone stay, for 4 days. But we went in any way to take a look around. The bathroom wasn't very clean either and had rust spots in the tub around the drain. The luggage rack had quite a bit of rust on it too. Not feeling the room was very secure, we asked to see another room and was told that they're all the same.By this time the Manager seem to have a negative attitude. So, we decided to just leave and find another hotel. I used CheapTickets to make my reservation there for a price much lessthan what Village Inn charged me for just one night, which was135.55. And at the same time, they're advertising rooms for 75.00per night. I recommend without reservations to anyone lookingfor a nice hotel to avoid this place.

Our room sucked. The lights to the room didn't work, and one of the lamps didn't work, some outlets didn't work, the sink was clogged, the bathroom was stuffy, the room overall had a weird smell to it. Our neighbors were loud and when they smoked cigarettes outside their room next to us we could smell it very strongly. Room service never came to clean our room. The beds were loud and creaky. The location was good, very close to a lot of attractions. The hotel is cheap but it can barely provide basic necessities so I don't see myself returning here.

Newly remodeled and clean. Great location across from Harborwalk Village. I've stayed here 3x in 5 years and it's a hidden gem! They serve a hot breakfast from 6-9am that includes build your own biscuits w sausage and country gravy, make your own waffles, along with hostess rolls, cereal and juices. The pool is always clean and ready :)

We stay here every time we come to Destin. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, they have a pool and serve breakfast. Right across from the harbor.

Rooms were very clean. Never saw any bugs inside or out the entire 4 days I was there. The room was cleaned each day and towels provided. Breakfast was good. Within walking distance to numerous good restaurants. I would definitely recommend Village Inn to anyone needing a clean convenient budget priced hotel/motel.

Destin Florida, a dream destination. If you want a affordable location that is staffed with great people look no further. Within walking distance of boardwalk that has basically everything. No better hotel for the price anywhere. Pets are welcome. Thank You to the owners and staff. Can’t wait to come

I wasn't sure what to expect upon arrival due to the myriad of "meh" reviews. I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised. It was clean, with a fridge and a microwave. Alisha was absolutely excellent and made it so easy to add on a few more days without having to change rooms. The free biscuits and gravy amongst other breakfast items made getting up and going to the beach super easy and convenient. The pool is pristine and the location seriously can't be beat. This place is literally walking distance to everything downtown Destin. We didn't have to worry about driving all over the place which allowed my partner to imbibe in all the fun cocktails that the Harbor walk had to offer. The beach itself is a short drive but the Harbor Walk offers water taxi service as well. It is very much a "beach inn" style accommodation so if you're looking for a fitness center and all of those other stuffy qualities then this place is not for you. For us, between the location and the amazing customer service it was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you Alisha, you're rad. You made our little getaway (that turned into a longer getaway) super pleasant. Whether you're looking to be able to walk to Mcguires, Dewey Destins, the Harbor walk village, Boshamps, etc. this is the spot for sure!
