I’m a big fan of Pandora’s products and have been a customer for years, but shady business practices and false advertisement aren’t acceptable.
Went to make a pretty pricy purchase of $200+, and was told “I’m adding this warranty on so your jewelry will be replaced etc…” Cool! Most jewelry does come with a warranty anyway.
Got home and realized I had been charged $20 additionally for this warranty. The sales associate never once told me there was an upcharge or made it optional. Additionally, a $5 “entertainment fee” was also on the receipt.
If you are charging someone for something, make it known you are charging them or give them the option.
Love the products, don’t like shady customer service. We returned our purchase and will do business elsewhere moving forward.
UPDATE 10/23 - Store Manager called me directly to apologize, clarify the entertainment fee charge, as well as acknowledge what went wrong. She was very professional and kind and will make sure this won’t be an issue moving forward. We’re all human and make mistakes, so I hope all in all the associate learned a valuable lesson and can be better going forward.
Very satisfied with the conversation and proud of the business for owning up. Stuff happens, we’re all human.
