Terrible experience with this school. All they care about is money, they come up with new fees to charge without advanced notice in addition to the already high registration and tuition fees. The uniform is very expensive (paid about $500 for all required pieces of uniform) and of terrible quality. No flexibility with anything. They say "no" to everything and if you don't like it seek another school, which we did and couldn't be happier with another Catholic school. They will greet you with fake smiles and hugs but once you are enrolled you are just another number. There are much better Catholic schools out there, Loyola, Conchita, Belen. Stay away from this purely for-profit enterprise.

Shelton Academy was a ray of hope to my family and me when we arrived to this country. We were struggling to find a school where we wanted our children to grow and learn but once we found Shelton we knew it was the perfect place. I will forever be grateful for all the opportunities that Shelton give to my children and will hold them dear in my heart for everything they have done for them.

As a parent of two teens attending the school, I can definitly vouch for Shelton. Great school overall. The staff and teachers are excellent and the school is managed in a super profesional way. I couldn't be happier :)

As a former student of Shelton Academy, I can say with confidence that this is an amazing institution. Shelton Academy provides children with a superb educational foundation and inspires them to enjoy learning. The teachers are there to support your child and ensure that they thoroughly understand what is being taught in the classroom. The family atmosphere creates a likable learning environment, but does not take away from the rigor of the school. Students are challenged to \\\"dig a little deeper\\\" and truly understand the subject matter at hand. If you are looking for a school for your child, Shelton Academy should definitely be your number one choice!

As a former student of Shelton Academy, I can confidently say that it was one of the greatest experiences I could have signed myself up for. Coming into it, I was afraid because of its size, but the care and love that was exchanged between peers and teachers is something that I have not seen replicated at any other school. Attending Shelton Academy is like indoctrinating yourself into a new family, and Shelton Academy is one of the nicest families and institutions out there.

This school is amazing! Both of my child went to marvelous high schools very well prepare and I am very glad they will be offering High school now. This is more than a school this is home.

On 2/23/2021, Shelton Academy failed to pick up my son to his school to participate in their after school program. My son was left alone to walk home, stayed home alone. I found out my son was not at their after school program around 5:00 pm. The attendant stated that there was only my daughter that got into after school. They were the only two kids they had to pick up from Eugenia B Thomas and they failed to get one of them. Shelton did not have the decency to contact me or any of the emergency contact listed, to let us know that my son was not at their after school program. Attendant told me: "He is not here, you have to investigate what happened" worst 15 minutes of my life. School did not know what happened, I called to talk to the director/owner of school and the service desk told me they were not available. It wasn't until I send them an email to tell them I was going to report them to the authorities .. they would not have contacted me. A forced apology was given by the owner of the school, Ms Ferr. With a disclaimer that I could say what ever I wanted about the school, that she had enough customers to support her, she did not need my bad review. "We are a family at Shelton" I guess my children were treated like outsiders, OutKasts of the family.. they did not see the need to care and protect them. I will not recommend their after school program to anyone that is not part of the Shelton Academy "Family"

Looking at the reviews, I do not understand all the five stars. I have had my son here for a couple years and can say this will most definitely be his last. Each year I hope and pray things get better. But they just end getting worse. If you want a school for your child where they don’t learn anything. This is the school for you. For being a private school, I expected more, administration is not helpful, the teachers don’t teach. Then what I’m I paying for?!?! All promises, promises, but when it comes down to the truth they run and hide. They don’t care about your kids. They care about this $$$$. Please do your research and find a better alternative.
