Don't go if you are a senior-you won't fit the profile the owner wants in the GYM!!. In December, he told the Silver Sneaker class how much he appreciated us. In February, he kicked us out. He didn't want a class for old people. If he wasn't going to have any Silver Sneakers class, then why did he keep the chairs, the weights and the bands that were provided by Silver Sneakers? There are a lot of other gyms nearby that do appreciate seniors....

They do not take Silver Sneakers at least not now 2/18/24. This gym had good reviews but without silver sneakers it's a bust and that's too bad because most of the gym's around Dunedin have very bad reviews.

Completely honest review:I think they're doing a great job over at TG. Their equipment is perfectly fine, I don't know why people complain about I being old. That's like not having a car but complaining when someone offers you a ride but their car is not brand new; take it or leave it. The owner is super nice, he has talked to my boyfriend and I a few times and even offered me a discount as a nursing student. He is extremely responsive if you ever message the TG account on Instagram and I have always felt his responses are very professional and kind. There's some renovations going on, so you can't fault them for locker rooms being outdated or certain parts not being brand new because he didn't demo the whole thing. He's doing his best to make the TG experience great for customers. The thing I enjoy most is it's hardly ever busy. I went to crunch for a long time and spent like 30+ minutes waiting for certain things, but there's hardly any wait due to the lower volume of members which is good in my opinion. The only caveat I have is that guest hours are 8a-8p on weekdays and like 8a-2p on weekends, but it's not even that big of an issue. It's when they can staff people. If you have an issue with it go apply to work in the afternoons there... I don't know what to tell ya. My boyfriend and I sometimes walk in right at the end of staffed hours and they always let us in. Oh and the other awesome thing... Jefferson! He's the sweetest and that's one of the main reasons I wanted to switch over because we love dogs. In conclusion, it's a great start and I think the owner has some really big things planned, so everyone who's writing negative reviews just needs to wait it out. Everything is a process and he's doing his best. The only options for gyms near Dunedin are crunch and planet, so it's nice to have something new with an owner who cares.

I have been coming since this was Dunedin Family Fitness. It was not the best gym but it was always clean and relatively inexpensive.Since the new ownership took over, prices increased dramatically ($60/week) and almost of the equipment is still ancient. All but one of the benches are too thin by any powerlifting standard, the platforms that you could do Olympic lifts are gone, and people on short term memberships still can’t access the gym when it is not staffed, which is only until 2 on the weekends. If this place wants to cater to powerlifting or Olympic lifting, it needs real competition equipment (bars, plates, platforms, etc). If it wants to cater to the anytime fitness crowd, it’s too expensive and lacks the more comfortable amenities like a sauna and larger locker rooms. It’s too bad, it’s in a great location but seems like a gym without a purpose. Dimming the lights and putting obstacles behind the new squat racks isn’t a purpose. Hope it improves.

Anyone who was a part of “The Gym” prior to it’s current owner (formerly Dunedin Family Fitness) knows what an amazing job they have done. Not only has Travis (new owner) completely rennovated the gym, but he has truly introduced an energy and culture that we desperately needed. DFF was good for what it was, but Travis saw far more potential. I remember my first conversation with him…there was a laundry list of things that he said he was going to do; he has done everything we talked about and then some. When someone asks where I workout, I’m proud to say “The Gym” and let them know how far it has come in just a few months. Travis truly cares about this place and it shows! TG for life??

What a great gym! 24 hour access so it suits my schedule perfect as a parent and small business owner. Has everything you need and is getting upgraded all the time! Staff is great and ownership really cares and listens.

The only reason I'm not giving five stars is there's still some room for improvement. For a 24 hour gym, the price is fair. This Gym has everything you need for a full body workout. (benches, cables, squat racks, cardio equipment, free Wi-Fi) They honor silver sneaker and the classroom is nice. There are no hidden maintenance fees just a monthly fee. I if you would like to check it out, they offer day passes. If you're looking for a place that doesn't turn into a zoo at five or six o'clock this is your best bet!!!

Owner is VERY rude. Too much old\newer equipment in a small place. Fact. I cancelled my membership with pleasure. When I tried to get cleariry on the monthly payments ( I was talking to a nice lady at the counter) the owner walked over and told me not to point my finger ( which I did not do) and told me to be quite).. I just said ok. I turned to the lady and asked her to please cancel my membership and thanked her and walked out. I will not be disrespected by this person.

I have a garage gym and don't live nearby, but I will still go out of my way to visit this location for training. The owner Travis has done a phenomenal job turning this place into a truly functional environment for bettering yourself. Not many times do you find a gym establishment with an owner who actually practices what he preaches, welcomes you with massive python open arms and inspires you to be better. They have branded merch that isn't corny, supplements that actually work and a fully stocked nutrition display for energy drinks if you forgot yours. Many people say it, but this truly is the place you want to be!

Solid setup with everything you need and more. Nothing like crunch, having to wait for everyone to post to their socials and they accommodate all types of fitness junkies from cross fitters to yogis and everything in between. Super MIL/LEO friendly.

Love the friendly environment. Lots of updates with new ownership! I’m a member and I work here now; I encourage you to check out all the opportunities here! Let the new owner know what you’re looking for. He’s very interested!
