Moved to Edgewater last week, and I was really happy to have a hardware store less than 5 minutes from my house. I have been in twice since moving in, buying random parts/tools as needed for a new home.
Popped in this morning to grab a few things, and while I was contemplating my purchases, I overheard three employees bashing customers from New York. I was born and raised in NY, but have lived in Florida for almost 35 years. People from NY moving to Florida IS WHY FLORIDA IS A THING! Don’t believe me? ASK OUR PRESIDENT!!!
I left without buying a thing. Told them Im from New York, guess I will shop somewhere else.
Brand new Ace Hardware, locally owned, just opened up the road.

From the employees to the hardware store, this place is absolutely amazing and no matter if I call or come in I get the exact help I need! Everytime I call for a part, they have it! Thankyou True Value! Best Hardware store around ! If your leaving anything less then a 5 star review it’s lie. These guys are amazing.

I've shopped at this store for years. I just recently had a water issue at my house. So, I ran down to True Value and bought drain cleaner and a snake. I talked to the cashier and said "hopefully the cleaner will do the job and I can return the snake." 3 days later I try to return the snake and as soon as I walk thru the door the cashier says "we do not do returns on that." I ask to speak to a manager, I was denied. They stated there was a sign in the plumbing section that states no returns. First of all, I've been in that section dozens of time and have never seen it. Second, the cashier should of said something the day I bought it and we had that conversation. I do believe it was a new cashier that day. But I'm still out that money.

I bought a can of Flex Seal and got it home and it was hard I threw away my receipt thinking what could be wrong with it I didn’t need to keep the receipt. Much to my surprise when I opened it the product was hard. It was supposed to be pliable so it could be applied with a putty knife. So I took it back. Was told that if I didn’t have a receipt it couldn’t be returned. So I said can I purchase another one but I would like to open it first. Well of course the salesperson said. Opened it and it was hard. Ok so I asked can I can a refund or store credit. I was told “we are not Home Depot we are owned by a local person in Titusville”. They would do nothing. So my response was maybe I should go to Home Depot. I’m local and shop there at least 2-4 times a week. No more if that’s how they want to be. It was obvious that the product came from there when they pulled another one off the shelf and it was hard! Done! No more shopping there.

Well I'm not a happy shopper. Bought a $43 Moen shower valve and never installed it and went back to get a Refund and was told that I opened it I bought it. Looked at the lady and said it was the wrong one still sorry you opened it. So do the fact that there prices are so high anyway, I said you have lost a costomer. She said Bye. I'll never go back.

I've been to this store many times and have never been meet with the unnecessary attitude I was today at the register by an older woman Thin build and short hair. My boyfriend and I went there just to buy local honey. I'm not a honey expert and any that I've always bought said clover honey. So when my boyfriend picked out one that had a wild flower sticker on it I wanted to make sure it wasn't flavored. So I asked the cashier if that would make a difference in the flavor of the honey. This woman looked at me as if I was bothering her for asking a question and her words to me were"what are you talking about it's honey. It's going to taste like regular plain boring honey" with a heavy sarcastic attitude and rolling her eyes. Im sorry but if you can't help the customer asking questions about products you sell without being rude and having an attitude than maybe you shouldn't be working the register and maybe you should just be in the back stocking shelves. Very unprofessional and completely unnecessary. You're at work don't take your bad day out on random people who were nothing but nice and asked one simple question which was apparently to much for you to deal with.....even though you get paid to do it because it's your JOB..
