I brought my 8 month old son in Sunday 5NOV23 due to a progressing very bad wet cough and mucus build up that had started 2 days prior. I thoroughly explained all of his symptoms and stated he had a fever over the weekend and myself had pneumonia. They ONLY checked his temp, O2 levels and listened to his breathing in his lungs. They ran no test and told me there was nothing to be done. But i knew something was wrong i took him to urgent care today 7NOV23 and he tested positive for RSV with a fever or 102 and has to be placed on 2 medications and the drs even ordered a extensive panel to ensure there isn't anything else additional going on. My baby was very sick when he came in on the 5NOV23 with no improvement and i was very clear and Eglin did nothing! You could've cost my baby way more and I am beyond furious from the continuous lack of care and concern. When i was pregnant with my son Eglin told me they could nothing for me and that it was a waiting game sent me back to work. I ended up in the ER same day on an IV and told I had two viral infections and places on bed rest. Eglin is terrible and will one day cost someone this livelihood. DO BETTER

The absolute worst ER I have been to. Went there twice in one day (Which is my fault, should’ve known the first time) for terrible stomach pain. Sent me home the first time with some BS medicine and the second time said the same thing and sent me home with little to no help. Ended up being hospitalized for 2 days at the Fort Walton/Destin Hospital because I had toxins in my stomach that could lead to kidney failure. Please DO NOT go to this ER. You will be way better off somewhere else.

I had a similar experience to all the other one star reviews here. The civilian employees don't seem to care to help your issues unless maybe its life threatening or something. Some of them are very disrespectful. This morning i tried to make a phone call to make an appointment. They said they are booked and can't make appointments and told me to go to the ER to get seen. I walked in with a physical issue to my knees(not sure what). they did x-rays and said everything looks normal. And i hear the lady in the background talking to her coworkers saying, "It's probably just in his head." talking about me behind my back like i'm stupid. Of course they don't say it to my face. This is very much an issue and affects my job. Also I've been treated for this issue in the past 2 years ago so i know that it's real I just can't remember the name of the diagnosis because it was a big fancy medical term. this isn't the first time I've had an unsatisfactory time here. Their behavior is disrespectful and should be held at a higher standard. I definitely don't recommend going here unless it is your only option. don't waste your time at the ER here.

Terrible. They dont care about your health at all. They wanted a man to be in my womens apt when I specifically asked for all women due to trauma IN THAT CLINIC years ago. Then I was told they would call me for a follow up apt for a device they ordered specifically for me....it has been 2 months and not a single call. I have called them and heard nothing back. Unfortunately, I am at their mercy. I am not allowed to switch to Tricare Standard to try and find compitant doctors who care. I am stuck using the useless doctors and PA's at these clinics....Hurlburt isn't any better either ? If you are new to the area, switch to standard! I promise it will be worth every cent!

Every clinic I have been to has been great! Labor and delivery especially were amazing.

I just went to the ER for issues with an ingrown toenail and the doctor came in, talked to me for about 30 seconds and was done. He barely looked at my feet and didn’t prescribe me anything for the pain or infection. I told him I was using cream for an infection and he told me not to use it. Then I said I had symptoms of an infection and he told me to use the cream. So which is it doc? I felt like he wanted to get me in and out as soon as possible. I’ve had other experiences like this too where they don’t even care. Everyone is better off going to a real emergency room with real doctors. These fake doctors don’t know what they’re doing and they don’t care. If you see a doctor Rizzuto as your doctor, just know you will not be examined and he will be out in about a minute.

ER doctors here always just tries to get you in and out, they don’t care about their patients, takes a look at you and makes you feel d*** for coming in. What can you expect from fake doctors that didn’t go to a real school. Go to Urgent care instead where real doctors can tell you how to cure your problem.

I love all my nurses and doctors in Eglin Labor and Delivery but there was two nurses that I will never forget though not sure if I got their name right I think it was Waller(tall and long hair; he was my nurse when we checked in at night) and Laura(tall; she was my nurse during labor/delivery). They are AMAZING! Words not enough to thank them. I will never never forget them. They’ll always have a special place in my heart.

We went there yesterday for my nephew who was showing all the symptoms of strep throat. They checked his ears, but not his throat, and said it was just a cold and he’ll have to ride it out. We took him later that night to Twin Cities and with just one look they were able to tell it was strep. If we hadn’t gone for that second opinion who knows how long he would have gone untreated. We have had multiple bad experiences there now but to dismiss a child is unbelievable.

Been here many times. Sadly is a miss or hit, some of the staff members and doctors are really good and others are just really bad in all sense. For those that are really bad they should change profession or crosstrain and then it would be better hospital for everyone.

Received care here for stroke recovery and Parkinsons Disease as well as ER and PCM both active duty and retiree. This is some of the best care available in the area. Referrals are largely easy to get. Pharmacy is efficient with a satellite pharmacy and drop box pick up at the BX.

Yesterday I fell off a ladder and injured my elbow. My wife took me to the ER at about 1430. I signed in and was seen within 10 minutes. The care I received was super, all the professionals were friendly, courteous, and thorough. Especially Dr. Alexander Beckstead. He is an outstanding professional. Thanks to all for your kind consideration and care. It makes me proud to be considered a member of the the USAF family. John Voss, Col. USAF, retired.

Do not waste your time with this place. They don’t care for anyone, their staff is a joke, they all have attitudes, and the wait times are ridiculous. They’re gonna tell you you’re fine no matter what you come in for. Go to Twin Cities.
