Go with Hertz. This company is horrendous. They made a mistake with my booking, and are trying to make me return my car back to VPS or charge me a $500 fee. Even though I could book the exact same rental today for $140. Their customer service is laughable

They pay drive $12 an hour. When you try and asked for a raise they don't care how much work you put in they will NOT give you one. Making $12 an hour for someone who is retired not someone who trying to make a living. If I didn't need this job I would have quit the job because of the pay. This is a former employee

The woman at the Avis counter at VPS on 3-25-24, @ 530PM told she only had EV's, I told her I did not reserve an EV and I do not want one, she said Avis is going total EV and she did not have any gas or hybrid's. She was not trying to work with me at all. I had this car for 3 days and I had to worry about how much charge I had left durring the whole trip. She never tried to help me with finding charge stations near where I was staying. She was basically "here ya go...good luck" I was not happy.

Upon picking up car had to notify personnel a very strong odor of Stanky blunts. So $900(for one way) later and a very worried ride home.The car made it but it was definitely questionable . Monroe you will not be missed

First off, the car was not clean when I picked it up and I had to drive to the cleaning station.I asked about tolls when I arrived to pick up the car, and I was told not to worry about it. So I paid for the tolls and then was charged for them. They never told me they would charge me automatically for the tolls. I have called them numerous times over the past two weeks and they will not pick up the phone. Very disappointed in this company.

Called their number 6 times during their normal hours of operation and never got an answer. This is absolutely unacceptable. If you have to get a rental then you might as well walk to your destination because you’d get there faster than they would pick up the damn phone!

2032 luxury car reeked of pot. Was filthy on the outside and gas tank dropped a level (digital) after 4 miles, so it was barely filled. Car was covered in dents and scratches. Only 23k miles on it but this car should have been taken out of circulation until it was professionally cleaned and didn't smell like a Willie Nelson concert. I don't expect perfection when it comes to rental cars, but AVIS should be embarrassed.

We had a great counter person in Fort Walton Florida who got us a very nice well kept vehicle at a competitive rate. Vehicle return was just as painless with another great employee. Great first experience with Avis A+.

I have received multiple receipts for one rental at VPS, first $115, then $146, then $261, and then $407. I called, I was told that the actual charge should be $115 and was given a confirmation number. Left a comment through the AVIS app as well. I am AVIS Preferred, and this is not the first time I have had bad experience with AVIS (no cars allocated, long lines etc)-- but this one is unacceptable. It is a two day rental, returned the car with full tank of gas a drove only about 20+ miles. What is going on AVIS?

I have been renting from Avis/Budget at the Panama City Beach, FL Airport for the past two years, and I have always been impressed with the service. The staff at the service desk is excellent, and the prices are very competitive. The vehicles are always clean and available, which I really appreciate. Ashley, a service representative for Avis, does a remarkable job. Anytime I have a problem or question with my rental vehicle, the service desk has been prompt and professional in correcting the issue. Ashley always ensures that I get the vehicle I requested and helps me with any special offers and options that are right for me. Avis at PCB serves local customers exceptionally well. Also, the hours of operation can't be beat. There is always someone there to help you, and they can resolve most difficulties you may be experiencing with a rental vehicle. Finally, extending your service takes one short call. I highly recommend this location for anyone in need of a reliable car rental service.

Key detail! Ignore the open hours listed here ("Closed at 11pm"). This and all other rental car places at Destin Airport stay open late, sometimes to 2am, if you confirm with them your flight is arriving late.I read this online, tried to confirm with the national call center for Budget... they said 11pm only.... But that's not true.My flight arrived at 11:20pm. I booked my car with Budget for the next morning 7am, but was able to pick it up late at night.Just give it a try. They all stay open late.
