they teach you how to service your own car, so if its a quick fix you can just rent a lift and not have to pay any scummy maintenance tax

We have used the facility several times mainly for the lifts. Help is available if you need it and basic tool sets as well. We always do our own work but there are some services available for those too intimidated to work on their own vehicles.

Really helped me out. Guided me onto the lift, trained me on it, helped me find the right tools (from extensive selection) spent 3~ hours putting on an exhaust that wouldn't have been possible without the tools and expertise of the staff. Learned a great deal. Appreciate the help guys.

Good place to work on your vehicles. In my experience they always had whatever tools I needed to address my project needs. The staff is always willing to help as much as they can. Some upgrades to the facility and equipment wouldn’t hurt but I’m glad at least they are still open and operating unlike many other facilities on base that were forced to close down.
By the way, they do patch tires. I figured I should mention that because nobody in the earlier reviews have brought that up (at least I didn’t see one). I only found out about it when I had a screw on one of my tires and was slowly letting the air out. I couldn’t get my tire patched anywhere else outside of the base because everyone around town was booked out for next two weeks. I was getting really hopeless. Then I figured let me ask Eglin Hobby Shop, maybe they can help or at least point me to right direction. Not only did they say they can patch my tire but they told me just bring it in right now and we’ll fix it for you on the same day. And it only cost me around $8, far less than what others were going to charge outside the base, especially GoodYear shop or Pep Boys in Niceville.
