Went to this USO to relax 3 hours before my flight with my fiancé but was turned away because he didn’t have a dependent ID yet. Mind you there was no one in the USO at the time. This felt extremely disrespectful. Can’t help but feel if I was a man in the military and my female fiancé came in with me I would not have been turned away. Extremely disappointed in the staff here. I will not be returning and will warn all my coworkers not to visit the VPS USO. Definitely not a military friendly atmosphere.

I was just there 10 days ago and checked in fine on the clipboard manually then today I went back before flight to wait and the little old lady was rude and told me she was not going to allow me to sign in manually and had to use my email address I explained I respect my privacy and its personal then she refused me entrance unless I did so I used my email against my will and machine still didn’t work so she was rude and asked me to leave even after I showed her my retired ID card she has no respect for veterans and the other volunteer didn’t even offer his assistance just stood there and did nothing while eating a bag of nuts that’s a shame needs a manner lesson this happened at 325 pm on 1 October 2024 hope she treats others better maybe it was my race thanks for what ever action can be taken

I understand that there is probably a policy against it somewhere, but in every USO I have been to across the country, I have never had my girlfriend denied entry with me. She's never so much as even been asked to produce an ID. This USO would not allow the both of us in unless she also produced a military ID, and made our trip so much more of a pain than it had to be as we were flying out of a small but busy airport with otherwise severely limited seating both inside and outside security. The tone of voice of the volunteer throughout the encounter also came off as very degrading that I was trying to bring a single guest into an otherwise empty USO. Now I can see why it was empty.

Rude! Rude! Rude! Old lady at the front desk was so rude it made me want to curse her out but I had to catch myself! I don't know if she has a problem with black people but if she does she doesn't need to be here....I didn't appreciate being spoken to like an idiot. If she doesn't want to be here to be of service she needs to go home or find another line of employment.

This USO will let Retired USAF veterans into the lounge even though it is directly against USO policy. USO is here to support active duty members.
