The associates are not warm and welcoming here..I noticed how everyone went to the back and the one who was up front was just looking at me funny. Also, the one hispanic lady only told this other hispanic lady that came in about the $5 lipsticks. This place needs a customer service reboot

Absolutely love this place! I visit Ellenton frequently and I make sure I always visit The Cosmetics Company. Especially love the selection, prices and Tom Ford products! Stock up for gifts too!

Susan and Nancy are running their own republic.My husband and I were shopping at Ellanton store. A customer called X walked in after us, who was seemed to be Susan’s best friend and best customer. When we wanted to our second transaction Susan said, “the name on the credit card and name on the my id has to match” (however the credit card I was using my company it just a name the company on it) which was neither a new police nor new guidelines set up by the corporate. I immediately called another branch and verified that matching names on both card was just a nonsense. Also I shopped Jacksonville, Savannah and Tampa stores, but non of the store managers required me present id whatsoever. The reason I said Nancy and Susan are running their republic because they are making up policies on their own. I am very confidently and freely criticizing this because customer X did multiple transactions same person different card. Susan and customer X were murmuring about us, they are so rude, irresponsible and these people does not deserve to be a part of Estèe Lauder.

I would love to give this store 5. However 4 are for all the staff, Danielle, Gayle and Susan. No points for Nancy. She is so rude. Rolls her eyes when people walk in the store. She knows nothing about the products and if you ask her a question most of the time she just ignores you or stays on her phone. The other ladies are wonderful. Nothing is too much for them: so helpful and knowledgeable. I even see Nancy have an attitude with the staff. I am not sure why she is still there but she is costing the store loss of business and it’s not fair when the other staff members are so hard working, knowledgeable and friendly.

I have been shopping in the store for many many times ,I love the products but customer service is so bad . Nancy is the one there every time I walk-in , when I saw her I talk to myself” OH NOOOO her again” , her attitude makes you feel like you are not welcome to the store. If you have any question her answer is “ I don’t know “ no matter what’s you ask.She is not willing to help you if you want to know about the skin care products. I don’t know why the boss still keeps her working over here. She even turned around and chat on her phone when you were talking with her . It was not respectful to your customer at all. I got bad bad experience every I see her . I will walk out if I see her again.

I always try to stop by this store when I'm in the area always find some great deals on makeup or perfume and yes is no exception and I recently company was extremely nice and kind and I appreciated it and I found some really good products I was glad that I was able to catch a great deal on them.

I love being rushed in a store right when I arrive. I entered the store after being unable to visit with my rigorous schedule during the week and was told ‘you have 5 minutes…I’m going to get lunch,’ by a rude woman on Sunday afternoon. I won’t be back. I will happily pay full price where I can get help and customer service. Thanks lady.

Staff always friendly and helpful in trying to match right shades when trying a new product line. Great prices. Been going here for about 16 years. Highly recommend.

Danielle and Gayle were amazing. They have excellent knowledge of the products, and gave great recommendations to my mother and I. We almost left buying the whole store! Both Danielle and Gayle made us feel at home and answered all of our questions—and we asked a lot. To the owner of the company, these two women do an excellent job in representing your establishment. I don’t leave comments often, but when I do it is because the service was phenomenal. These two women are definitely keepers.

I have always enjoyed shopping at the Cosmetic Company Store in Ellenton, FL...until today. I went into the store yesterday. The signs in the window read: 50% off purchase of $100 or more. When I took merchandise totaling over $200 to the cashier, I was told that I would receive only 30% off since I was buying skin care products. When I questioned why, the salesperson took me outside to show me at the bottom of the large sign, in very small letters: some exceptions apply. She then said that previously there had been signs in the window stating that skin care products were the exception, but, obviously, she admitted that these signs were no longer there. When I told her that I would not be purchasing my items, she said that I could come back tomorrow and speak to the manager.I returned today. There were now large signs in the window clearly stating 30% off skin care products. The same young woman was there, with another worker. I asked to speak with the manager. The other woman said that she was the manager. I told her what had happened yesterday, and the woman I had previously dealt with corroborated my story...that she had put up the signs after I had left. The woman who said she was the manager now told me that she was the assistant manager, and the manager was in the back room. I asked to speak with her. The assistant manager left for awhile, and when she came back she told me that the manager was eating her lunch and would be able to talk to me at 1:30 (it was then 1:00). I thought it unreasonable to ask a customer to wait that long, so I asked her to please ask the manager to take a few minutes out of her lunch break to help solve a problem for this customer of many years. Again, she went into the back room. When the assistant manager returned, she said that the manager would not be able to override the prices and would not be coming out until 1:45. She pointed to a sign in the store stating the 30% exception. I had not been in that part of the store, and so I had never seen that sign, nor had it been pointed out to me yesterday, I was then offered a slip of paper with a telephone number on it. She said I could call corporate, if I wanted. I left, without the paper. I told them I would not shop there anymore. I felt I had been caught in a “bait and switch” operation. I was drawn into the store by the big 50% off sign in the window, only to learn that, after selecting several items, I would receive only 30% off. Obviously, I made no purchases and told them that I would be writing a negative review.

Awesome place! There is a great selection of terrific brands, and the prices can't be beat. I was able to buy 5 full price MAC items for 70% off, and that was only one of the specials they were running. And if you want more selection, they have other choices behind the counter.
