About Caspersen Beach
Caspersen Beach is a popular destination for both beach-goers and shark tooth enthusiasts in Florida. The beach is known for its unique black and white sand, as well as the abundance of shark teeth that can be found along the shoreline. The beach is often crowded, especially on nice days, and parking can be challenging after 11 am. However, the facilities at Caspersen Beach are well-maintained, with clean bathrooms, rinse stations for both humans and dogs, and a designated dog beach area. The unspoiled nature trails and lush landscape surrounding the beach add to its charm. For those interested in shark tooth hunting, Caspersen Beach is considered one of the best spots in Florida. Visitors are advised to bring a strainer or use their keen eyes to search the wet sand for the valuable teeth. The beach is less crowded than nearby Venice Beach, making it a preferred destination for serious shark tooth hunters. Overall, Caspersen Beach offers a unique and enjoyable experience for visitors, whether they are seeking a relaxing day by the water or an opportunity to uncover the treasures of the sea.
Get there early if you’re shark tooth hunting. Beach fills up quickly after 11am on a nice day and parking is incredibly hard to find then. Cars circle the lot waiting for people to leave to grab one.
