Complaints first - many might think 150 to 160f is hot for a sauna, for some it might be, but when you have 50 plus ppl coming in and out whenever they like in uni gender sauna room it's gives a lot of opportunity for the air to escape, also the seal on the door is not perfect and damaged, you can see the outside light coming from portions of the door making it even colder in there. The men's room is also pretty dirty but it's not a deal breaker. If this is fixed I will rate it 5 stars. im rating it 3 stars because for the price things should be better maintenanced and taken care of for such a expensice memership(if you dont have enough money at the time of your monthly payment they will add about 30 dollars on top of your memership fee the next time they try to run your card!!!!!!đĄ)! Other than that ymca is a great place to workout, meet friendly people, and get healthier with many different activitys avalible for you to explore.

This location offers zero discounts to disabled veterans. When inquiring I was told to go to the Venice location if I wanted a discount. I thought the ymca was of Christian values figured they would help disabled veterans.

Drove there to play pickleball after reserving a court......learned upon arrival that they don't have pickleball courts and don't accept reservations. They set up pickleball nets in a large exercise room for evening play.
Lots of stationary bikes. Large clean women's locker room.

This YMCA facility is clean, well-maintained, and staffed with friendly, helpful employees. However, I have two issues that could improve the experience for all members. First, during snowbird season, some seniors gather and linger on exercise machines to socialize, limiting access for others. The gym is a great social space, but I suggest adding signs stating, âIf not actively using the machine, please be considerate and move on,â as most exercises (3 sets of 12 with rest periods) take only a few minutes per machine. Encouraging socializing in the comfy lounge areas by the entrance would also help. Second, during school breaks, teenagers often sit endlessly on the machines while playing on their phones, causing delays. As a family membership holder with only 30-45 minutes to work out, itâs frustrating that many times I canât do a complete workout due to the inconsideration of others which has been happening more often. Clear guidelines or time limits on equipment use would ensure fair access for everyone. Thank you for considering these suggestions!

Solid gym, tucked away in Englewood. Great sauna, gets hot! Would be nice if they had a steam like the Venice location. They also got some newer equipment over the past year, never really that crowded.

This review is more in Regards to the day care then the facility, the facility is great and most of the staff are also very nice. Before I signed up for the gym I went and toured it and I have a baby that just turned one so one of the main bonuses of this gym for me was that there is child care. During this tour I passed the day care room 4 times total and all 4 times Mrs G (day care employee) was on her iPad facing away from the three kids in the room. Then when i went to talk to her she did not greet us with smiles and was very negative talking about only all the stuff they donât do, it immediately put a bad taste in my mouth. After my visit I got an email from Todd (Program Director) asking how my visit was, I expressed my concerns and he responded saying he is so sorry but that Mrs G had some things going on at home recently and wasnât having a great week and acknowledged that thatâs no excuse. I enjoyed my conversation with Todd and decided to give it a shot, I still was skeptical using Mrs. G so I went in the evening and used Mrs. Barb (daycare employee) who was great and every time I checked on them through the glass she was interacting with the kids, she is amazing but she only works the evening shift. So this morning I wanted to do a Pilates class and was nervous because my child was going to have to be in Mrs. Gâs care. 23 minutes into my class she calls saying he hasnât stopped crying, so I leave my class and go to grab him and see him trying to climb up her leg to be held, and she is trying to walk away (not in the direction of the other kids). All the other kids in the room where older and more self sufficient running around together and my kid is crying and you canât pick him up to comfort him or interact/play with him? My baby is normally a very happy baby even with new people but with the bigger kids in the room running around with carts he may have been alittle more scared and wanted to be comforted and she did not care. So I recommend if you have younger kids who arenât good at playing by themselves either going at night to see Mrs. Barb (which stinks because all of there classes are mostly morning classes) or just finding a different gym. In my experience Mrs.G does not want to care for your kid, she wants them to play with themselves and be self sufficient and get paid for standing there.

Darlene at the front desk is very snide at times. Very off putting and unwelcoming. Front desk is the first impression. If someone can't be friendly no matter who it is or at least professional ALL times on the front lines they should be behind the scenes.
