They sent me a push notification when I arrived at the airport saying, “Your car is waiting for you, pick it up now!” Returned the car here within the scheduled window. Then they charge me nearly double for an “early pickup”, which again, I did because they sent me a push notification instructing me to do so.Contacted customer service and they said they don’t care and it was my fault.

Rented at Estero, FL location. Car had not been cleaned BUT (!!!) there was only one person at counter at 9:30am and she was on telephone taking care of a challenging customer. Maybe Need to schedule more help! Also gas less than half full. When I went back to inform counter person, she was with another client and said she would note my contract. Upon returning car to Tampa Airport, found out it didn't happen, but Avis person in Tampa efficiently corrected issue and extra charge. Overall very pleased and, in fact, have rented again!

Not only did I not get the car I originally reserved online (somehow they always give you an "upgrade" with terrible gas mileage), but I got a car with a low battery car key. From the moment I got in and saw the warning on the dashboard, I went back into the office and mentioned this. The lady there said, "oh, you won't have any problem, and if you do, just buy a new battery and we'll refund you." The battery ended up dying, I bought a new battery and brought the receipt on my return. They told me they had to keep the original receipt in order to refund me, and that I would see the refund in a few days, but they NEVER reimbursed me nor followed up in any way. I tried calling and their local number doesn't work. I had to call the HQ customer service line to finally get this resolved, but I shouldn't have had to do all of this if they had done it right from the beginning. Please improve your customer service.

Reserved a car online and when I got here was told they didn’t have any cars. Absolute waste of time and money to get over here from my hotel.

We lost the keys so they left us stranded us on the side of the road. They would not give us new keys even though we were more than willing to pay the fee. We are now stranded thousands of miles from home and running out of money.

If I could leave minus stars I would. Filthy car inside and out. Rip off prices for fuel when we couldn’t fill up before returning the car due to traffic. Price gouging in the extreme.

15 people at least waiting. Car reserved for 1:00 PM like a bunch of others. Only 1 person behind the counter. My car on the AvisPreferred board? "See preferred center". App says my car not available. - the staff are fine- just not enough of them. In the end, we waited 15 min. The car was nice. Really not that bad

Filled tank at mobil gas station at airport before returning and was shocked to see on my email receipt that I had been charged $184 by Avis for fuel. Unbelievable. I called and the matter was rectified in a few days. I'll never rent from Avis again at this location.

First of all. Asked to upgrade to an Escalade from a full size premium suv. Was told 40$ extra. When we got to the bay where the car was it was a ford expedition. Come on...!! The return experience was also horrible. Check your receipts! Refueled the car prior to return. 15 minutes later get the receipt for $87 over what the rental was because they decided to charge for refilling the car at 9.90 a gallon without even checking the gauge!!! Worst rental agency ever..

Absolutely the worst experience of my life ! I reserved a car from Avis 5 days in advance. When I arrived I was offered a truck or cargo van because they were out of cars. (Why make a reservation?) I was upgraded to a Chevy Tahoe I didn't want. The following day unfortunately I lost the key to the vehicle. I was told I had to have the vehicle towed by their roadside assistance because they have no spare keys. I waited with the vehicle until tow truck arrived and did not want a replacement vehicle. 2 WEEKS LATER AVIS DOES NOT KNOW WHO TOWED THEIR OWN VEHICLE OR WHERE IT IS. They tried to tow the same Vehicle from the same location they towed it from 13 days later and then asked me who towed it and why I abandoned the vehicle. Absolute insanely. I have called the location I rented from over 100 times and they don't answer their phone. Called customer service 20 times or more and have waited hours to speak to a supervisor who ended up being in Mexico. Trying to find a car in Philly. To add insult to injury I left a $250 dollar pair of glasses in the truck. I recieve an email every other day that I have not returned the car. Still not one call from the rental location and customer service tells me I need to give them time to do their job. THEIR OWN ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TOWED THEIR OWN VEHICLE AND LOST IT !!!

I always have a great experience at this location. After having to stand in line at the airport many times, I found this amazing location. They went the extra mile for me recently. When my plane landed late, they stayed after closing to make sure my family and I got our rental that night. Ten stars!

We rented a toyata camary 2022 beauty. Unfortunately the car was a disaster The fuel gauge did not work . It kept flashing bring in for service and it needs windshield wiper fluid. Very poor customer service.

Jonathan (the owner) was so friendly, helpful and accommodating when our flight was canceled and our vacation got pushed back by a couple of days!
