Koreshan State Park, located in Florida, is a unique destination rich in history and natural beauty. Once home to the Koreshan religious group, the park features 11 historic structures built between 1882 and 1920. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including camping, fishing, canoeing, hiking on nature trails, and exploring the historic settlement through guided or self-guided tours. The park offers a peaceful atmosphere with quiet, shady spots ideal for relaxation. While most campsites provide visual privacy, some visitors noted that the sites are close together, which can lead to noise from neighbors. The park includes amenities like a playground, picnic areas with a pavilion, and restroom facilities that are well-maintained. However, some campers experienced issues with uneven sites and water pressure. Koreshan State Park also hosts community events, a farmers market, and serves as a venue for weddings and special occasions. It is praised for its charm and cleanliness, making it an excellent spot for families and history enthusiasts. Overall, it is a peaceful escape for those looking to connect with nature and learn about a fascinating piece of Florida's history.

Beautiful Florida State park with quiet shady spots for our 37 ft Class A motor home. Very close to Ft Myers. We actually had to leave a day early and the park refunded our money for that day
