DO NOT BUY FROM WEST ELM
I wasn’t going to write this review because I didn’t think people would believe me but as they say “you can’t write this stuff” who would believe you. We ordered 6Counter height stools June 1st we were notified that delivery would happen until late september or early october so called the next day to cancel the order they would not cancel it as they said it was a custom order. So because we ordered in Black a color they offer as an option they considered it “custom. so we just gave up and we waited we finally get notice the stools will be delivered late September the truck arrives with only 5 of the 6 stools they said the factory made a mistake and made the wrong one. on top of that 1 of the 5 stools was delivered broken. It get get worse.
They tell us it will take another three months to get the remaining stools. Again asked them to rush order since it was there mistake of course this was denied. ext they call us and say the missing stool was not a manufactured mistake They West Elm delivered the one stool to a warehouse in Ohio. Finally they set up a delivery for the lost stool for today 22 October I rearranged my schedule to accommodate the delivery. at 1530 they called to tell me that “sorry” some forgot to load the stool on the truck. You can’t write this stuff.

My wife and I came in to shop around. An associate saw us looking at a rug. Told us they had that size in store and at a big discount. Great, grabbed the little paper to claim it and proceeded to shop for things to match the rug for a few hours. Went to the counter. Bought pillow cases and the rug. Explained we would be back later to pick up the rug with a different vehicle. We left. Got a phone call shortly after. They don’t have that rug, it was sold already and they’d be refunding us for it. We bought a certain item at a certain price. It should be honored. Contacted the 800 number and the store. Was told I’d get a call back from the GM to resolve this. It’s been almost a week and no call. With the vast resources a company like this has and with all of the money we spend with them, you would think that this would simple. We bought a product, give us the product. Mistakes happen, that’s not contested. What is west elm doing to keep customers coming back when mistakes happen? Our time was wasted and we were let down.

We were lied to about the delivery process. When ordering a set of dining chairs and counter stools, we were informed that the items would ship together if we opted for white glove delivery, separately if we opted for doorstep delivery. We chose doorstep as we did not want to wait the 6+ months it was going to take to get our custom counter stools before we would have dining chairs. We have counter stools now, so the wait wouldn’t matter much, but we have no dining chairs so that wait is obviously more of an issue.
Our estimated delivery time was continuously updated in their system as separate and within the timeframe we were promised at the store.
Fast forward to the week of our dining chairs delivery date, suddenly they are pushed back to not only the same timeframe as our counter stools, but are now showing in the same delivery. I reach out to customer service and they inform me that this was always going to be the case, that they were never going to deliver separately and they don’t know why I would have been told otherwise. The order also cannot be canceled because of the custom counter stools and nothing can be done.
Very deceitful business practices going on here and I would avoid shopping with West Elm.

This is a terrible store. The salesperson was so rude to us. He acted like it was an inconvenience that we entered inside the door. We were planning on purchasing several items and he might as well punched us in the face. Will not give West Elm any more business and I have bought many items throughout the years. I will not enter that store or buy here ever again.

Had a lovely salesperson. , Mary Azzariti. She was personal, very well informed about the merchandise and could not have been more helpful. Service was a 5 plus. I purchased a table from Mary from the Wed Elm store and it the table was placed in my car .. i was surprised regarding the west elm systems. .i wanted to purchase a matching table . The Coconut Grove store had only one in stock that couldn’t be sold because it was a floor model. Mary was kind enough to give me a list of stores that did have the table that I wanted to purchase in stock. I found it a little strange that some of the stores had 5 to 8 of the same table in stock. The distribution of tables to stores seem imbalanced . One store could not move the inventory to another store. When I called corporate they told me if I ordered from corporate , I wouldn’t get the table until May. Therefore it was up to me to contact the other Wesr Elm stores to purchased directly from the store and have the table shipped with an additional shipping charge, which I had no problem paying . I am just making a statement that if I wasn’t a motivated buyer , I would probably have given up.
It seems to me that there should be someway to expedite these purchases .
But that being said I would give Mary a 5 plus stars!!

I purchased a new home earlier this year and was really struggling with furnishing it. I’ve been searching for months with no success. I was getting so frustrated and disillusioned. I went to many furniture stores repeatedly and was just not seeing anything I could get excited about.
A friend suggested to me that I check out West Elm which I had never been to before. I was so impressed with the store and the staff. Everyone welcomed me and offered to help but they also were respectful about letting me wander through the store on my own and check everything out.
I was actually a little overwhelmed with all the pieces I saw that I really liked. Luckily, one of their designers, Mary, introduced herself to me and offered her assistance. She was a HUGE help to me. She totally understood and was very respectful of my tastes in furniture unlike the designers I had met at other stores who tried to impose their personal tastes upon me.
Mary made herself available to meet with me several times to provide her input and help decide what to purchase. She was very professional, pleasant, conscientious and thorough. I’ve always despised furniture shopping but she made it fun! I ended up purchasing seven pieces and plan on going back to purchase more!
I highly recommend West Elm and their designers!

Walked in on 06/17 @ 4:30.
Took a right and walked through the whole store. Not an employee in sight. When we got to the opposite side of the store there was I guess the sole employee on his phone sitting in some furniture. No acknowledgement, no eye contact even after he got off the phone. We had questions and needed help. We promptly headed for the exit. It’s SWFL off season and hot as hell out. If we make an effort to come in to a brick and mortar store we are buying.

I have spent a lot of money in this store the 3 times I’ve been but not once has a sales person asked me if I needed and assistance or if Can help me can assist me, I absolutely ignored and they were not busy at all. I hate to make this about a race thing but I’ve noticed two other people walked in after me, Caucasian and me being a person was neglected all 3 times, so moving forward I will never visit this store again because my money is the same color as anyone else’s money, I am highly offended.

We went to try out couches, and worked with David at first. He was very helpful, answered all of our questions, did not pressure us, and helped us purchase two drink tables that were out of stock.After trying 2 other furniture stores, we came back to purchase the couch we initially tried at West Elm. We worked with Patti, who helped us with fabric swatches and was patient while we texted pictures to family for second opinions. She really took the extra time to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted.We don't have the couch yet, but the store model was extremely comfortable, and the customer service was exceptional.

Buyer beware! If I could give 0 stars I would. We purchased what we thought was Sunbrella couch but come to find out it doesn’t clean like Sunbrella or even have the Sunbrella stamp (like Sunbrella stated it should). BEWARE wouldn’t want anyone else to be scammed. Called customer service and they stated that there is nothing they can do and the store is just as bad with support. Will never be tricked by this place again. If you are looking for furniture look elsewhere! Store and customer service doesn’t care once you purchase…
