The experience I had with Emily was so kind. Not only to me, but to my mother.
I know anything in the funerary business is difficult, and need is usually unexpected and painful, but Emily was there for the entire process.
Her updates were always kind, concise, and clear. The obituary she wrote from asking some basic questions (that I gave rambling answers to) was a thing of beautiful She found a way to keep me from having to give my mother an indigent cremation. She has been nothing but kind, sympathetic, understanding, caring, and appropriately funny to work with. I cannot stress the last part enough!
She understood my personal needs, as well. Not many people in many service areas take that into account.
In short, Emily was wonderful from start to finish. I felt entirely involved, but entirely cared for, and walked through everything. The compassion was amazing, and I could not have gotten myself the level of care and respect my mother deserved through this difficult time.

I cannot speak more positively about our experience with Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home. My husband and I felt it was time to have our affairs in order and that included purchasing our burial plots. David Sawyer, the family service manager was extremely helpful. He listened intently to our concerns and our ideas of what we wanted and what we did not want. He explained everything clearly and at no time did we ever feel pressured into going in a different direction than what we wanted. By the end of our meeting we felt a sense of relief knowing that our children would not have the burden of taking on the responsibility of preparing our funeral arrangements. As I was leaving, I told David that I almost felt guilty for all the laughing we did in planning for such a somber event. I would highly recommend Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home.

The service I received at Hamlin and Hilbish was remarkable. They were kind, respectful, thoughtful and generous. In no way did they try to sell me things I didn't need or want. They offered options for the necessities and clearly stated if something was extra. Wonderful, kind people doing their jobs with compassion at the worst time of a wife's life.

Our experience with Emily and John at Hamlin & Hilbish was top notch. This funeral home has handled 2 generations of our family's loved ones (both sets of grandparents and parents). They were so accommodating to our needs for a one-of-a-kind Celebration of Life ceremony. I recommend them highly.

Gabriel was extremely professional while remaining down-to-earth and empathetic as my wife and I navigated the emotionally-tasking journey of making one’s own final arrangements. He was upfront and honest about everything, and made every effort to answer all of our questions.

The staff are thoughtful people helping you make a plan for celebrating your loved one’s life. We prearranged everything. So glad we did. Now that I needed it, there is no rush or worry about anything. They were wonderful

David Sawyer helped us put together our Pre-planned funeral arrangements. He was patient, compassionate and caring of our needs. No question seemed to have surprised him and he carefully listened to our desires and made a plan for us while meeting with us in our home. It is a comfort to know that our end of life desires will be taken care of and our children will surely appreciate having the many decisions already taken care of.

One of the hardest days of my life when I had to make arrangements for my husband‘s burial with Hamlin and HillBish… The staff was so loving and so caring and gave me so much comfort and love. Should you ever be in a position to need their services? I highly recommend this wonderful staff.
