I saw a woman carrying a blow up alien out of Dutch 13. My grandson was having an alien themed birthday party so I stopped in to see if I could purchase one. I met Nik who was working. She was so friendly! She told me that she had just given the alien to one of her friends and that she didn’t have another. She told me that if I ever drove by and saw another alien out on the porch, it was for me! We laughed about it but low and behold, the next day I was driving to work and the Alien was back! Nik and her friend went out of their way to make sure my grandson had that alien for his birthday! She GAVE it to me by the way! Such a kind person! Such an interesting shop too! We purchased books and greeting cards while we were there. Great people and a cute shop! Love it!

Such a cool shop that supports the local community! They support the local artists and carry great jewelry, paintings, photography, crafts, tee shirts as well as books about the local history. Also, don't miss the homemade jam's that are made by the owners!! Speaking of the owners - Nik is almost always there and is such a fascinating person to talk to!

I loved my visit to this adorable gift shop. The owners of this shop Nik and Burt Ruege actually designed the renovation of the Marsh landing Restaurant next door. They have lived in Fellsmere for 28 years. The gift shop is in a historic 1913 building that used to be the survey office for people buying land in Fellsmere during the land boom. The name of the shop reflects the history of Fellsmere. In the 1900's the street were named for the ditches in the town. The shop is located on Ditch 13.Greeting you in front of the store is a live parrot. Hanging out front were the most amazing bird feeders made out of recycled tires. The inside of the story carried beautiful jewelry, paintings, and crafts made by local artists. They also had a great selection of books by local authors related to the history and nature of the area. The lady operating the store was so friendly and gave me a brief history of Fellsmere. The store was getting ready to close but I definitely want to visit again when I have more time and money. This little store is a Fellsmere gem.

This store is a great place for all things local. From local honey, to airboat and birdwatching tours. The owner is a long time Fellsmere resident, and is familiar with the history of the town.
