Very nice apartment on Amelia Island Florida.Loved hearing the ocean waves from the apartment and being able to see the ocean was it was so close by. Due to the location and time of year being january/ february i could not spend much time on the balcony as it was pretty cold and windy and the sun was only warming up the balcony area for a few hours during the early mornings. The pool was unheated, it would have been wonderful to be able to swim! Unfortunately it was too cold to swim or lounge by the pool. Other than that, i had a very nice and relaxing stay and enjoyed my sunrise walks along the close by ocean!

Vacasa gave us the wrong key to the condo. Took 1 and 1/2 hour to straighten it out.Condo was good, but at $500 per night, we should not have to go to Vacasa office to pick up and return keys. Condo should have an electronic lock.

The absolute worst vacation rental I've ever encountered. The manager is a very young, unprofessional woman. We had several things go wrong with the property, she spoke over us when trying to talk, she was very uneducated and unfriendly. Do yourself a favor and NEVER rent from this property. Be sure and check your VRBO and AirBNB that they are not being managed by this horrible company!

I cancelled a reservation and was allowed to move the reservation to another date. When I rescheduled I had to sign a new contract. I ended up needing to cancel a second time for health reasons, well within the cancellation time of the NEW signed contract. Initially a credit was issued to me minus the 10%. I had no problem with this since it was stated within the contract. I received an email showing the amount of credit to expect. The next day Marcie ( I believe was her name) called and said no credit would be allowed but I could use the money I had paid then before the end of 2021. Because I went to the CC company trying to get my money back she was mad and decided that I would not be allowed to use the credit or reschedule as I had originally been told. This company is now stealing almost $1500 from me. I have emails and paperwork backing all this up. So BEWARE!!

The first unit I signed up for was not an "Efficiency", with a living room section, but a bedroom with 2 beds for 10 days. After 2 days with the national office (not the Amelia office locally) I was finally reimbursed about 25% of that total, if I booked another place with them, which I did: a 2-BR condo at Beach Wood. for $2,000. The unit is run down and in need of repair: paint peeling off the walls; damaged windows, broken freezer; broken chairs; stained carpets; bath tub curtains stained; etc. Vacasa did send over carpet cleaner 3 days after I arrived and today offered to replace the stained shower curtain - but the rest of the place needs the owner to restore. Vacasa never inspected the unit to make sure it was up to ones' standards before renting it. I also learned the Manager is not a real estate broker or agent. I asked for a partial refund and she said she could do $100 (out of $2000!).

Where do I begin? I guess let's start with checking in the unit our first evening and realizing the sofa bed had no sheets. I called the office and was referred to the on duty person. She told me she wasn't sure if she could get to the clean laundry and that I needed to meet her to get the sheets. What?? That's right. I had to drive to the rental office to get the sheets instead of someone bringing them to us in the unit. So ok, 30 minutes later I'm back in the unit finishing dinner. I take a shower after dinner and an hour or so later before bed I notice my feet are filthy. Not just a little dirty, sandy, whatever. Filthy! I call the next morning to ask if we can get housekeeping to come and mop the floors. When we come in from the pool that next day the unit does not look or smell any cleaner. I call to ask when housekeeping is coming only to be told they already came. I know they didn't mop because there was a large dead ant on the bathroom floor (that's another story!) and it's still there. So I take a white cloth and wipe a few tiles of the floor and it's flithy! Video. I call and say no-one has come here and sent the video the dirty floor to be told, "housekeeping didn't mop in that area because there was a "huge pile of shoes there". We had no piles of shoes there or anywhere. So I take the same cloth and wipe tiles in other areas. See video. Dirty floors everywhere. Later that evening my feet were of course filthy again from the floors in the unit. Back to the dead ant. The bathroom became infested with ants. See pics. I understand Florida and ants, how they swarm, so not a huge deal but... when the dead ant was still in the exact same place on the bathroom floor I knew no one had mopped in there as requested. Housekeeping basically lied and said they had come in and "cleaned our food and stains off the kitchen floor". The video in the kitchen shows how well they "cleaned our food and stains off the floor". This was housekeeping's way of deflecting and it was frankly infuriating. Lastly, we left two phone chargers in the unit. I called at 5:00PM the day we checked out to report this. I circled back twice more and never got a call or follow up about the chargers. One was a portable charger retailing at around $70.00 on Amazon, the other a standard iPhone white charger with cord. I guess housekeeping kept them. I have no idea. Super unprofessional management company. The unit itself was fine. Basic, uninspired, but fine as far as decor, but it was filthy! The photo below with the blue rag is where I wiped about two feet of baseboard in the kitchen. The baseboards had not been cleaned in I would guess months if not longer. I would absolutely look elsewhere as a renter and an owner looking for someone to manage. We have been property owners at Omni Amelia Island and regular visitors for decades and this was a substandard experience. (Note, I will add photos and video, can't see a way to do it at this posting)

This was by far the worst service. To start the original room we were supposed to stay in was double booked so we had to be moved. During the stay a close family member passed away and I had to leave. They refused to give me any of my money back with the hard situation I was dealing with. They said if I had insurance or told them two weeks prior it would have been different... although I was told a day prior by someone who worked for them that I would be refunded on a recorded line. They refused to look that up or help me in any way. no sympathy, no refund, nothing. This was by far my worst experience with a rental property.

The building is very close to swimming pool and beach... hardly 2 mins walk. The beach near the building is very nice and clean. The issue with the property was with cleanliness. The pots and pans were not clean. There were cobwebs and was dust in many areas of the house. The fixtures and bathrooms are dated. The only reason to stay at this place is closeness to the pool and beach.

We booked a 6 night stay at the sandcastles here and the ladies at the office were very professional and helped guide us through the local area with dining and activities. The pictures on the web were very representative of what we received and we had a fantastic time.
