Omni Resort Staying at the Omni Resort at Amelia Island was nice but the resort is in need of a renovation. The interior furniture and exterior paint are dated. I was surprised to see artificial plants as a centerpiece and all throughout the lobby. I've never seen that and I didn't like it. If you're so far North Fl to have exotic tropical foliage, then look for exotic foliage that can survive in colder climates, as is done in California. I was also surprised to see metal railings instead of glass, which looked rusted and obstructed the oceanview room we had. The shower leaked, so we had a soggy mess of towels on the floor, which sucks and shouldn't happen in a high end resort. The property is beautiful and has nice amenities that help make those minor inconveniences better. There are several pools on property, including an indoor adult infinity pool but it was closed. All pools are heated, which was quite nice. There are many restaurants on the property & shops. All are open to the public & have access from the street. The restaurants are worth trying. The Staff was exceptional. Everyone was very nice & that made it all worth it.

Leah was so great and helpful to help my daughter find her lost items at the pool. She was so happy!

My wife and I Just returned from celebrating both NYE 2024 and my college buddy's Bday! We all had a blast at this resort! They do NYE parties right and we are hard core parties form Las Vegas lol Right from checkin we loved this gorgeous 1400 acre Omni Amelia Island property!!! All the hotel staff, bellman, valet, housekeeping, front desk employees especially the 2 Sea Glass NYE senior bartenders were 5 star friendly, accommodating and very professional. Out 5th floor immaculate room was AWESOME and everything from the bed, pillows, SPECTACULAR balcony VIEWS and nicely pressurized rain head shower were all perfect. The rooms just need more cell phone charging locations. The NYE celebration was over the top, the DJ, fire pits, drinks, free champagne and awesome desert chocolate table were perfect.. A big shout out for the food drinks and hardworking smiling bartender Deborah for making our NYE night memorable and EPIC....My wife and I were talking how we hate the 3 star haters of this property. Ofcourse drinks, room rates and food are a bit spendy but look at the, beauty and beach location of this resort will ya?! If you are a Yelper and can't afford a nice weekend at this property then trash your checking account not the Omni. See ya next NYE already looking forward to another stay here.

We are here during off-season, over the holidays. Our room has a stunning view of the sunrise from the fourth floor. The adult pool is closed but the family pool is open and it has a really nice shallow end area that my three year old is enjoying. There's also a splash pad and beach access from the family pool area. Today we took a break from swimming and enjoyed some lunch at the Oceanside restaurant next to the pool. We found the ingredients to be fresh and the service was friendly and fast. I'm not certain if camp, Amelia runs during this off-season, but if you happen to go during the same weekend as we are going now, you can run the kids by Fernandina historic old town for the dickens on center festival. That's where we are headed later today after we wash up . This hotel has a very cute little holiday touches and I'm thankful to say that they have a Hanukkah on display and you can request one for your room as well . We have been to Amelia Island before, and have experience the Ritz, but find the Omni more compelling simply because of the village of shops and restaurants and all of the activities that are very family friendly..

Do Not Stay here. A male hotel employee tried to enter my room without permission while I was undressed. My husband was in the shower. I had locked and latched the door after having coffee delivered to our room about an hour earlier. I called the front desk right away and let her know what had just happened. I told them again when we checked out. I have received a call from two different people, and both claim it was security checking my door and that this male employee claimed my door wasn't shut all the way. He did not identify himself as security. And he pushed my door open instead of shutting it closed. And then ran away quickly. I have never had someone try to enter my hotel room like this. It's VERY suspicious and leaves us uneasy now. It was our 30-year anniversary, and we were left feeling omni was a bad choice. The adult pool was the only pool open, but children were in there every time we went by, I'm not willing to go in a hot tub with kids. The in room kerig didn't work. And there was never any information about complimentary coffee or any other amenities that were offered. Coffee or otherwise. The prices are inflated and the place is huge, it's easy to get lost. Self parking is very far from the hotel front lobby. They can't possibly keep up with all employees.

So many reasons. First of all, room was never cleaned during entire stay. 5 days of garbage. No clean towels. Ridiculous. Prices are stupid. I live in Manhattan and I think these prices are absurd. I get that you think you are entitled to inflate prices because you are a "resort" but your food isn't good. You can't charge Ritz Carlton prices because they are down the road. I had to examine each receipt with a microscope because I was constantly being over charged. The restitution we got for living in squaller was $175 in "resort fees" that I didn't know I was responsible for anyway. Seems high for a rusted out, corroded, beat up hotel. Just don't stay here. Ever.

Flying into Jacksonville airport, the resort is a good 25 minute drive. I rented a car only because I was traveling alone and didn't feel secure taking a long Uber ride by myself in the early evening. I'm sure glad I drove because the drive was serene and the sunset views along the marshlands were spectacular. The resort was definitely huge that opens up to more than 3 miles of beach, with the Atlantic Ocean at its feet. Sure, some people can argue that the resort needs some updating. But for me, nothing beats taking a morning stroll, with your bare feet touching the sand, and watching the sun rise over the ocean. I was here for a work conference so I didn't have as much time to explore the resort or the entire island for that matter. This is definitely one of those places you can take your partner or your entire family to unwind and relax because they offer something for everyone.

This is a nice family getaway spot. The water is beautiful, the grounds are lush, there's plenty of activities to do with a family. This is not a spot (especially the villas) for business travelers. I was there for a short conference. I arrived at night after flight delays. It takes 45 mins to get there from JAX. If you Uber then the only place to get provisions is the hotel. I arrived at like 8:30 pm via Uber from the airport. It's pitch black outside, so I have no idea where anything is, luckily Uber dropped me off at the right place for check in or I would have been wandering around the massive property at night with all my luggage. I get there and check-in then I'm told I have to walk or shuttle to my villa. I was pretty grumpy about that. There's no room service in the villas so you have to shuttle to the main resort for food and for bottled water! There's no bottled waters in the villa rooms. Not even a paid option. What the heck!! Now that's fine for families who went grocery shopping and stocked their rooms. But it really sucks for business travelers with no car who arrive late. The main store to buy snacks and water has lame hours and it was closed. So I felt provision-less on the first night, and I wasn't happy about that. But to their credit, the front staff was very nice and offered to walk me to the restaurant, helped me get a to go order going, and called a shuttle for me. I think they could tell I was disoriented and overwhelmed from my flight and annoyed about not having provisions in my room. They remained professional and helpful. Their good customer service earned this hotel an extra star, so definitely keep that up. It is a beautiful (albeit dated) property. The water is lovely. And there are rabbits and turtles and other nature to see. It is nice. You just have to walk a lot, like more than normal at a big hotel, and it's really not ideal for business travelers there for a short conference. Great for a long getaway where you stock the room with groceries and just relax. Not great for fast pace where you need convenience and ease. Pro tips. --bring your own water!! --Have a car to get around. Lots of walking. --Breakfast at the hotel is awesome. Best hotel breakfast buffet I've ever had with a beautiful view of the water. --security gate. Made me feel safer. Cons. --Not for business travelers. --No room service in villas. --Because it's so remote Uber and UberEats aren't reliable options.

Omni Amelia island was great. The hotel was huge!, the property has everything you need to relax and enjoy a getaway. The beach is beautiful and the view from The ocean front rooms are priceless. The rooms are large, clean and the beds are comfortable. Lots of food choices with 10 different restaurants. I recommend the "falcons nest" for a cold drink and huge delicious hand burgers. Pools super nice. Cant beat the white sandy beach.

Stayed at the Omni although a nice property. We stayed in the Villas which I thought was a clean room only to find our bed full of sand. So disgusting. I expected much better accommodations. Beware.

We stayed at the Villas part of the resort. Service was excellent at check-in and the lobby bar, views from the room were fantastic. Room service for the Villas was not available due to distance from the main hotel. Pickup was available at the lobby bar, which was fine and the food was good. The villa room has a great view of the water and had a short walk to the beach. Excellent location, views, and very relaxing. We stayed after Labor Day so it was relatively off season. Will definitely be back again.

Staff was very helpful. The water parks and pools are very clean! All of the amenities were nice. Although the bathrooms closest to the the water parks were not open but I’m sure they’re going to be nicely renovated once they do open. The rooms need a little updating but they are in good shape!

This hotel was beautiful. The staff was the best part, so kind and helpful. Rooms were nice, and they came with a balcony. 2 nice large pools. Restaurants on grounds, you take the shuttle less than 3 minutes ride. The steakhouse was delicious. Pools were beautiful with great pool side service. My favorite was the breakfast restaurant, Sunrise buffet, walking distance from the room the staff there were the best!! They really made it an amazing experience. Food was delicious and there were so many options, the beach view from the restaurant was beautiful.

This beautiful resort sits right on the Atlantic Ocean. I was so excited to wake up, take a walk on the beach. Collect some shells, watch the sandpipers and walk alongside a darling little turtle. Our room was spacious with all the amenities. Our bed was cozy. Our balcony overlooked the resort. There were some issues with service. Those matters were worked out and there was a well spoken apology. I think we can all agree many businesses are struggling with enough hired help. You cannot ask for a better location. There are nice restaurants, cafe, shopping along the property with darling shops.Rooms: Our room was spacious. I loved that daily were fresh water bottles at no charge and in room coffee. The view was spectacular with the sunrises that were beautiful.Nearby activities: You can walk the beach. Rent bikes with excellent off road bike paths, shopping at the resort with lots of little shops, fishing, and local horseback riding on the beach which I loved.Safety: It seemed very safe wherever we wentWalkability: At the resort you can walk everywhere.

The room and views are just outstanding! Most importantly though, the staff has been cheerfully helpful! From the lobby to the pool attendants, everyone has gone above and beyond to make our stay a dream vacation. We appreciate the service we are receiving!
