AC didn't work, warm water only worked in the mid-afternoons, breakfast was missing half the food items, in addition to many other "small" things (like missing lampshades, body wash container was empty, hair was all over the shower, pillow cases were stained). Worst of all, was walking in one day to three men in our room working on remodeling. The front desk acted like that was normal, and pointed out a small sign in the lobby that mentioned remodeling, as reason for why we shouldn't be upset about random guys working in our room in the middle of our stay. Overall, super unprofessional place. Will not go back again.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly. The location is great. It appears to be undergoing an update, which will be nice. It's showing its age a bit in some areas. But, overall, it is a good option.

Clean and comfortable and one block from the ocean front. Great location! This location is starting renovations to change to the Ascend brand.

If I could give zero stars I would!!!! The absolute worst motel we’ve ever stayed in. First, rooms are dirty and out dated. I complained about my shower being cold the first night and was told it must have been a high shower time. It was 5 pm not exactly a high shower time. Every day thereafter the shower water was lukewarm at best. Our toilet overflowed each day we were there. When we inquired about maintenance someone brought up a plunger and left it outside the door. They didn’t even bother to knock and tell us it was there. We also asked for a late check out but were told by the same manager that although we were dedicated long time choice members the fact that we booked they a third party we could not get any perks - no early check in, no late check out, no room service, nothing!!!!The worst customer service and facility ever! The only good point was the very efficient lady servicing the breakfast area!! I will add photos to back up everything I’m saying… save yourself the time and trouble!!!

I would only recommend this hotel if you get a deal under $100/night and just need a place to sleep. The room: The room was dirty, there was hair on the bathroom floor and on the sheets. The couch in the room was filthy and the AC was having some issues. It was still cool but definitely was shutting off during the night. The fridge cabinet was rotting underneath. The upside was a comfortable bed, ample space and outlets. The lobby was beautifully decorated with christmas decor and the girl at the front desk was nice. However, there is an awful smell in the hallways and by and in the elevator. Breakfast was basic and they were out of a lot of items.Overall, I can't believe it was $200 to stay here for one night and can only recommend this hotel if you get a great deal and only need a place to sleep.

Smells like dirty shoes EVERYWHERE...shabby, upholstery stuffing coming out of bedding, room phone does not work, WiFi password does not work, none of TV remotes have Guides....so you spend time clicking thru EVERY CHANNEL. CREEPY....Big ICK Factor

Such a rude check in experience . The ladys name was Jillian. After driving long hours we arrived and i tried to get water from the machine next to check in counter in breakfast area. Jillian says its only turned on for breakfast. Ok. I walk to drinking fountain . Its out of service. I ask Jillian if there is a pitcher of water possibly like most hotels have to help yourself. She says no but i can buy a bottle of water . Also the coffee machine doesnt work for breakfast. A nice glass pitcher and a coffee pot from walmart is about $40 total . I felt like i was in a third world country with that rude horrible first impression. No exudes. Room was comfy. I went to bar at new hotel across street one evening for food and drinks. 1000 times better. Stay at that one

The best thing is location and parking. They also have a bigger breakfast buffett than most places. Rooms are very dated, couch was old, and the very slow elevator needs serviced.Nearby activities: Restaurants, fort clinch, and beaches.

The room was a good size. However, there were stains on the couch, dust all over the headboard, holes in the bathroom door, and multiple patched holes in the wall. If you need extra pillows, good luck. They only have a set amount per room. What you get is what you get. The TV guide channel was not working, so we called the front desk to get a printed listed. The front desk attendant told us there was not a printed list and we would just need to flip through the channels to find the channel we wanted. The lobby and hallway smelled like someone unloaded a can of Axe body spray. The breakfast was minimal and nothing to be desired.

Good budget hotel. Room, breakfast, cleanliness ok for what you pay. Friendly staff. Only complaint (and its a biggie) is the A/C system right next to the bed, way too noisy on off every few minutes, interrupts your sleep all nite. Must say bed very comfortable.

I was charged $300 extra just for a table lamp that had some sand on it. I understand charging for the lamp but they charged an extra $200 just for inconvenience. The door wouldn’t lock sometimes when we shut the door, the key wouldn’t work so we had to get another one. The fridge hummed so load that we had to unplug it and go without the all doors that lead outside will not accept your key the elevator is scary and even started going up while not closed completely. Last time we stayed (back in may) when I checked In i noticed peanuts on the floor, hair on the couch, and even yes, sand on and in the wall plug but yet I got charged $300 for sand on a lamp. So If u accidentally break anything they have the choice to choose how much they wanna run your card and they will tax you hundreds like they did us. Which is a ridiculous amount for inconvenience especially when we were regulars
